[USS Calypso - Operations HQ]

Tovan stepped into the operations briefing room with a cup of coffee in one hand and a PADD in another. The three other officers that he requested to see where already there waiting for him. He walked up to the top of the table placing his coffee and PADD on the table before having a seat.

"We don't have much time to waste so I hope you don't mind if I get right to the point." Tovan began. He looked around the room and everyone was shaking their head. "Here is the deal."

"Tonight, at 2100 hours the Alliance Security Force will be transporting a couple of coffins from their base of operations in City of Nas to their base in the mountains. Captain York would like to get her hands on these coffins as they contain the bodies of the mercenaries that were guarding the complex in which she was being held."

Morgan, James and Samantha all looked at each other as Tovan stated that they would be hijacking the coffins which carry the bodies of the dead mercenaries.

James being who he is decided to speak up. "I hope I am not the only one that finds this rather strange. What exactly does she want with these bodies?"

"I'm in agreement. This is highly strange." Samantha added than looked to Tovan for the answer to the question that James had just asked.

"I understand how this must look. It's strange alright. However, the reason for why these bodies are needed is not important at the moment, what is important is that we are able to get them aboard the ship before they reach the mountain base."

"Why is that sir?" James asked.

"The mountain base has shields in place that will prevent us from beaming anyone in or out. That is also the reason to why they are transporting the bodies with vehicles instead of simply beaming them from one location to another." Tovan answered.

"Excuse me sir, but won't the Alliance Security Force come asking for the bodies once they figure out they are gone? How do we plan on explaining this?" Samantha asked.

"We don't expect them to. Alliance Security Force recovered these bodies by entering a zone in which they had no jurisdiction. They won't want Coalition knowing that they had done this. So, they will not launch a formal protest because that would result in this coming out publicly and that's the last thing they want."

"That makes sense." James said from his seat.

"So, we are basically doing the same thing that they had done." Samantha added from her seat. "They recovered the bodies from wherever and didn't tell anyone about it now we are going to do the same."

Tovan nodded. "In a matter of speaking, yes." Tovan leaned forward and passed a PADD to each officer that was in the room. "There is everything you need to know on that PADD. Lieutenant Faye will be in charge of the mission."

Morgan looked up from the PADD at Tovan with a puzzled look on her face.

"I have previous engagement that if I canceled it would make it too obvious that we were behind this." Tovan explained why he won't be there. He didn't need Morgan to ask he knew what she was thinking already. "Before I forget, keep this information to yourselves. I don't want this getting out. And if there are no other questions you are all dismissed."

James and Samantha got up from their seats with the PADDs in hand and left the room talking to each other in a gentle whisper about the mission and the bodies.

"Is something wrong Lieutenant Faye? You didn't say anything during the briefing." Tovan asked as he looked at Morgan still sitting in the chair.

"What exactly is going on Lieutenant? Why are we hijacking bodies of dead mercenaries?" Morgan asked from her seat as she placed the PADD down on the table.

"I can't discuss that right now." Tovan responded.

"If you expect me to lead this mission I need to know why." Morgan insisted.

Tovan didn't say anything. He brought the cup of coffee to this mouth and took a sip of the coffee. He leaned forward grabbing his PADD off the table. She was right about that. It wasn't fair to her not to know. He headed for the door.

Morgan watched him. She still waited for an answer.

"Follow me, Lieutenant." Tovan said as he stepped out and headed towards his office.

Morgan quickly jumped up from her seat and grabbed the PADD following him to his office.
