Brief Transmissions

"What the hell...?" Sakura looked at the console puzzled. Out of nowhere the Coalition channel was flooded by the regular transmissions that they had been hearing since they came into the area.

There was a lot of traffic. A lot of it was running together to the point where the person listening in couldn't make much sense of it. There were transmissions on all channels public, private and military. It was bouncing all over the place.

This transmissions chaos lasted only for a few brief moments. Sakura was fortunate that she had set up for the transmissions to be recorded as soon as the channel was opened. She wasn't sure that it would happen but she wanted to be prepared just in case.

As the transmissions disappeared Sakura quickly got to work. There wasn't much time to waste. She needed to know what was being said so she decided to separate the transmissions based on their nature. While the computer worked on separating the transmissions Sakura began coming up with a list of key words.

She was going to start searching through the transmissions but she just couldn't tackle the first one and listen to them all. That would take way too much time so she needed to narrow it down quickly. When the computer was done she began to search for those keywords but she wasn't having much luck at all. Every single word that she used came back negative.

She began forming a new keyword list as she went along. She found that several words repeated themselves in most of the transmissions. One name stuck out the most Galin Hurs and also there were several mentions of the Coalition Council.

She first searched for transmissions that contained Galin Hurs and than Coalition Council, her last search involved searching for both terms in the same transmission.

The more transmissions she listened to the more the picture began to come into focus on what was going on in the Coalition territory. It seemed that Galin Hurs, which she gathered was the Second in Commander after the Grand Marshall had been removed from power by the Coalition Council.

There was no reason given in any of the transmissions that she managed to record but it was clear to her that this is what had happened. There also seemed to be a mass confusion by the military. They weren't sure who to follow, at least that's what two different transmissions seemed to make mention of.

After the transmissions had stopped she checked the background channels she had been able to find earlier and she could see that there were still transmissions being sent but she couldn't gain access to them, they were coded like before.

She quickly downloaded transmissions onto a PADD and left her station to report the news to her superiors.
