[OLD]

Shalie entered the transporter room as the group prior to her dematerialized. She was running late which was not something she was accustomed to. She knew she was going to have her work cut out for her on the planet. She climbed up on the transporter pad and nodded to the operator. The room melted away and was soon replaced with terrain of the planet below.

Leo watched the Doc and his Sergeant interact. She had no want of men, and had beaten down every man who had tried. Hearing the question, he walked forward, taking off his helmet. "The tricorder only has half of it?" he asked. Looking up and over everyones shoulders, he looked for a cloud or some means of dispersal for the new chemical composition. "Forgive me Doc, but

I think we should all get inside a building, like now."

Jerry looked at Jason with a raised eyebrow, then down at his own tricorder with the environmental settings optimized. It seemed that the more time he spent onboard the Calypso, the more comfortable he got. Maybe it was the fact that people didn't expect him to be the very model of a Science Officer, that he didn't have to compete with a Vulcan (even Vulcan helmsmen seemed to know more than he did sometimes). Even the Captain, who had been a Science Officer herself, didn't compete with him. "I am, as a matter of fact. This place is weird, man. And I really am getting some spooky feelings around here. I don't even know how to explain it."

"I have a bad feeling about this...," Jason said to both of them. Could someone here is trying something dangerous to them? He looked around, seeing that the people don't seem to be hostile except for the soldiers that are from this planet. "I agree about getting inside."

Leo didn't wait for the men to turn and start going in under their own steam. "Defensive positions! Get the fleeters inside the building behind me! Move!" His Marines jumped into action, making a half dome around the crew of the Calypso. Leo stayed outside, looking for an enemy or anything that would have let lose this chemical. Once they're all in, call out and get in yourselves!"

The doctor felt the push from the marines as they quickly moved into action and he bumped into the science officer, knocking his tricorder out of his hands onto the floor. He had to brace himself or otherwise, he would be on the floor. Jason swallowed hard, "Sorry...", he said to Jerry.

Wendel didn't hesitate for a moment. Unslinging and cradling the rifle in his hands he tapped the nearest marine on the shoulder, a corporal, and gave him immediete orders in line with Leo's
"Stay with the loot' and herd the fleeties in Parker. If you see gas don't wait for anybody who isn't in just shut the door."

Moving towards one of the sides he walked backwards for a moment to shout orders at the young tellarite PFC next nearest to him.
"Northwest corner Jarkh and grab Baines before you take position, same orders as Parker; if you see gas don't wait just get inside.

The rest of you guard the front unless somebody is engaged!"

And with that the long time Chief Warrant Officer turned and sprinted towards the southeast corner of that same structure, loading a grenade into the launcher and throwing his helmet onto his head as he went. The only time he ever stopped moving was to slide into a crouch, rifle cradled in a ready position in his hands. As he visually scanned his section he keyed up the comms rig in his helmet and reported back to Leo.
"Southwest corner is clear so far, no visible vapors or confirmed hostiles, but nothing moving either. It's too quiet lieutenant, something's up."

Leo touched his ear, having a bud in. "Keep up the search. I'm taking the top of the building, I want a birds eye of the area. Make sure you have two on every corner, I don't want anyone alone. Also, you unload that launcher without my permission you'll be a corpsman working the latrine." Moving inside the building, he looked around for a hatch and ladder. "Scratch that, I'm grabbing a higher building. If I call gas, everyone get inside. If I'm out here, the orders stay the same. Get inside, close the door and beam out. You an always reclaim me then." Cutting the connection he ran to the next building, finding stairs. Not even breathing hard, he took the stairs three at a time, and slammed his shoulder into the roof door some seventy seconds later. It being a four story building, he had a good view of the area around. Keeping his body low, he moved around the top of the building, catching a 360 view, with nothing coming back.

Doctor Hart stayed to one side of the building after one of the men closed the doors. He watched how the Marines creating a formation around the building. "You know something doesn't seem right here by watching those poor people out there, acting like they are clueless as to what is going on. Last time we were here, they had fear and anger when we first arrived. I can't get my finger on it, but they acting different...," Jason said outloud to those around him. He glanced at his tricorder, "I'm not sure why this chemical, whatever it is, is floating in the air. We won't be able to see it...but it just analyzed the air." He looked over at the science officer, seeing that he is hitting his tricorder gently to get it to work and knew that it was his fault that he knocked it out of his hands. "Lieutenant O'Connor, did you get the results from the chemical?"
