Following the brief conversation with Tovan, Morgan had contact Ensign Miyazaki the communications specialist and Chief Petty Officer Gates, who she knew was very skilled at working with the sensors. She instructed both of them to meet her in her office right away.

While Morgan waited she attempted to gather as much information on the situation as she could. Tovan was very short and to the point during their conversation. She wished he had given her more details but she had enough to work on trying to locate Commander York. She didn't know this Grand Marshall and in all honesty she wasn't too concerned with him but she wanted to locate Commander York.

Sakura and Samantha seemed to appear in her office at the same time. Morgan motioned to both of them to have a seat and when they did she leaned forward in her chair crossing and resting her arms on the desk in front of her and looked at both of them.

"We have a situation on the planet and we have to act quickly." Morgan began. She noted as both women looked at each other and then looked over to Morgan. Samantha was the first one to speak up. "What kind of situation are you talking about here...?"

"Lieutenant Tovan had contacted me a few moments ago, it seems that during the conference they were assaulted by an unknown group and Grand Marshall along with Commander York has been taken hostage. Don't ask for many details as I wasn't given any but Lieutenant has given us specific orders on what we need to do..."

Neither Sakura nor Samantha said anything or asked any questions at this point. Each of them could tell just how serious Morgan looked so they didn't want to or needed to waste any time with questions they just wanted to know what they can do to help in this situation.

"Gates I need you to start scanning the planet for Betazoid life signs...there shouldn't be many Betazoids on the planet. So hopefully if we can detect her signs we can go rescue her. The problem is that our sensors seem to be useless on certain parts of the planet. So we need to find a way around that." Morgan spoke as he looked at Samantha.

"Don't worry, I will find a way around it. I have been already working on something and should be able to test it out in the next 30 minutes." Gates responded.

"Good. The sooner we can get the sensors to scan every inch of the planet the better." Morgan said. "I don't want to keep you away from it so you are dismissed. As soon as you find something I need you to inform me..."

"Don't worry, Morgan. I will." Gates said with a nod and stood up. She nodded to Sakura than left the room to get back to her project. She needed to get this done yesterday.

Morgan turned her attention over to the young woman left sitting in her office. "Alright, I need you to monitor all communication from both Alliance and Coalition. We need to know what they are talking about. And Lieutenant Tovan wants you to keep a very close eye and ear on the Union."
Sakura nodded. This was her first assignment and she has already been asked on several occasions to help out during this mission. She was excited that she has been able to help but nervous at the same time. "I understand...any specific reason to why we should keep a close eye on the Union?"

Morgan shook her head. "Lieutenant Tovan didn't specify why he just said to keep a closer eye and ear on them. I suspect that he believes that they had something to do with this."

Sakura nodded and stood up. "I will get on it right away."

Morgan nodded. "Good...keep me informed on any finding."

"I will..." Sakura said and left the office heading for her station so she can get to work.

Morgan leaned back in her seat and sighed lightly. She had never been in a situation like this before but she knew that there were times that these things took time. She only hoped that they wouldn't be too late to find Commander York.
