[USS Calypso - Samantha Gates Quarters]

Morgan wasn't necessarily looking forward to getting back to her office to finish those two stacks of reports. If it was anything like the last stack she might be there till about midnight. That was not her idea of a really fun time. She knew she'd have to get it done sooner or later but she wasn't ready to go back there just yet so she headed over to see Samantha.

She walked up to the door and chimed it. She told herself that she wouldn't stay too long but instead go back and finish that pile of reports otherwise if she ignored it for too long it would only grow.

Samantha had just stepped out of the bath and she only had a towel around herself as the door was chimed. She wondered who it might be. She wasn't expecting anyone nor was she aware that anyone knew that she had been released from sickbay. She walked over to the door and poked her head out. "Come in..."

The doors opened in front of Morgan and she stepped in slowly looking around. She started from one side of the quarters over to the other and didn't see Samantha until she looked to the doorway into the bedroom. There was Samantha standing just in her towel in the doorway smiling at Morgan.

"I should have guessed it was you." Samantha smiled at her as she stood there with her hands on her hips. She wasn't embarrassed to be just standing there in a towel in front of Morgan. They had become friends over the past few weeks. Plus, she really didn't have anything to be embarrassed of. She was a good looking woman that wasn't afraid to show off her body.

Morgan looked at her smiling. "Well you look fine to me; I don't see why the doctor gave you the extra 24 hours of house rest." Morgan said with a wink as she took a few steps towards Samantha.

"Well, I had to bribe to doctor but don't tell anyone." Samantha winked at her and turned around heading back into her bedroom to find some clothes. "Make yourself at home Morgan; I will be out there in a second."

"Thanks, but I don't plan on staying too long there is a nice stack of reports waiting for her to finish." Morgan responded as she walked over to the sofa and took a seat. She leaned back and closed her eyes. The sofa was rather comfortable and she was afraid she might not get up now.

Samantha stepped out a few moments later dressed in a pair of shorts and a tank top. "So, can I get you anything to drink...?" She asked Morgan as she made her way over to the replicator. For one she wanted to be a good hostess and she also wanted a glass of water for herself.

"No, thank you." Morgan responded and watched as Samantha grabbed a glass of water from the replicator. She watched her make her way over to the sofa and sit in it. As Samantha sat down facing Morgan, she adjusted herself in order to face Samantha.

"So, I take it this is more of a professional visit than a social one." Samantha said as she brought the glass up to her lips and took a sip of the cold water. After she sipped it she placed the glass on the coffee table and looked back to Morgan.

"A little bit of both honestly, I wanted to check up on you to see that you were following the doctor instructions which I can see that you are not." Morgan said with a smile and a wink.

"That is not true. I relaxed nice and long in the warm bath and now I am relaxing with a friend. So you see I am following the instructions." Samantha said with a smile of her own.

"Well now that you put it that way I can see your point." Morgan sighed gently. "I just needed to get away from those stacks of reports that have piled up in my office."

"Isn't Lieutenant Tovan supposed to be handling those...?" Samantha asked as she took another sip of the water. It seemed that she had missed a great deal while she was out with the flu.

Morgan nodded. "Yes, he is but he is on the planet at the moment."

"I see...so why is he on the planet?" Samantha asked. She did miss out a great deal. She would have to catch up with the events before going back on duty.

"It's a long story..." Morgan responded with a chuckle. She was still a little bit upset with what happened with Tovan but she felt a lot better knowing that he was safe and sound. That was until he got on the ship and she got her hands on him.

"I have time..." Samantha smiled. "Plus, I have some catching up to do..."

Morgan nodded. Samantha did have a point. She had been out for some time and she would need to be briefing on the events that took place while she was out. And it wasn't like Morgan really wanted to go back to her office so she decided that there wouldn't be a better time to brief her on what was going on. She would get away from the reports and Samantha would be up to speed. It was a win-win situation. But in all honestly it really wasn't. "Alright, I guess I should start at the beginning."

"That would be a wise choice." Samantha said with a smile.

Morgan looked at her with one of those looks and then smiled at her before starting to brief her on the events that have taken place since she had come down with the flu.
