[Sickbay]
After Doctor Hart sent off the information to his old professor on Nurse Tarango's infection, he restocked the supplies for about ten minutes and cleaned up the biobed that was used, knowing that it wasn't his job to do the beds. There were only two crewmembers in sickbay at the moment: him and her. The nurses are gone for the day, so he has been taking over some of the nurses' jobs. Maybe there is a relapse in the virus if Nurse Tarango is feeling better and has been discharged, he thought. Maybe I should go talk to lioness..., he smiled at his joke, as he approached Doctor Bowen's office door.
He chimed her door and there was no answer. "Um, Doctor Bowen, are you there?" Jason called out, waiting. Still no answer. He let himself through to her office to find her asleep in her chair. He moved to her desk to be closer. "Doctor? Leanne?"
She jumped half way out of her chair and stared at Jason.
Seeing that her hair was disheveled, he thought she looked cute. "Sorry to wake you...I thought something was wrong when you didn't answer the door."
Leanne sat back down and fluffed her hair. "I must have fell asleep..."
"Are you okay?" He wondered if she was coming down with something since only two people have had the flu.
"Yes...just tired." She glanced at her memo on the monitor. "You have another mission...back to the planet as the Captain is requesting one person from medical."
"What?"
"You heard me. Start packing a medical bag...this time, light packing. I don't know what is going on down at the planet. In an hour, they are going to transport an away team. I have to stay here." Leanne rubbed her forehead quickly.
"Great..." Female marines surrounded me the last time, he thought. Maybe they won't this time. "Okay, I'll get the stuff together and head down to the planet again. When I get back, I think we need to look into this virus again. I have studied the lab slides on the blood and something doesn't seem right."
"It doesn't? I didn't see anything out of the ordinary."
"You are treating our patients with herbs because our medication isn't working, but what if the virus does get out of hand? The strained DNA has something else with it or attached to it, making it a difficult one to get a diagnosis."
"That's not what the laboratory technician told me...", Leanne frowned.
Seeing that she is too tired to discuss it, Jason changed the subject. "I'll get ready for the planet and we can talk about this later...ma'am." He turned and went back to the main sickbay to pack a med-kit. He was not looking forward to another trip to the planet.
