[USS Calypso - Deck 10 - Lounge]
Morgan and Allison had continued sitting in the lounge after James had left them. They each took turns and came up with different scenarios of how this was going to just end up. Morgan had hoped that he wouldn't find her, and she would be able to talk to him before he made a fool of himself but that was the best case scenario. But part of her wanted to see just how it ended up. It would be an interesting story to tell.
It would be one of those... Remember the time you decided to ask the Captain out to a date. Morgan chuckled lightly to herself as she leaned forward and grabbed her drink taking another sip from the glass that was now almost completely empty. She turned to the bar to call the waitress over and just than the doors opened and James stepped in. "Well, that didn't take long." She said watching him.
"Huh...?" Allison looked puzzled at Morgan.
"Look to the door."
Allison turned her head towards the door and noticed James who was now making his way back to the table at which he had joined them earlier. There was a look of disappointment on his face. Allison felt slightly bad for him. Looks like he got rejected or hopefully he never found her. Allison started thinking of all the things that could have happened, but she was brought back to the reality by Morgan's voice.
"It went that bad huh?" Morgan asked as James approached the chair which he had sat in earlier and sat down again with a loud sigh.
The waitress approached the table. Both Morgan and Allison asked her to bring them another glass of the wine and James looked up at her and ordered the strongest drink that they had. He didn't care what it was as long as it had a huge kick to it. He felt like he needed one bad! The waitress nodded and left for the bar to get their drinks.
"I was too late..." James said as he looked up at Allison first for a moment than looked over to Morgan. He sighed and looked down. Both Morgan and Allison looked at each other with a puzzled look. It looked like to both of them that he had found her, and something had happened.
"Too late...?" Morgan question as she looked at him.
"Yep. Too late." James looked at Morgan. "You see, after I left from here I headed down the corridor and just my luck she was right there near the lift. So at that moment I thought I was in luck. My night was looking like it was going to be a lucky one. She had on this really nice black dress." He smiled to himself thinking back on what she was wearing when he found her.
Morgan raised an eye brow ever so slightly as she watched James puzzled. It looked like he didn't know who she was after all. How could this happen. Maybe it wasn't the Samantha Y both her and Allison were thinking of. It could be someone else.
"So, I caught up to her and I was about to ask her to dinner when I noticed that some guy was waiting for her like nearby. By the looks of it they were heading out on date or something." James said. It was right then and there that the waitress dropped by with their drinks. James grabbed the drink from her and took one huge swing of it. He finished it in one swing. It was strong and he couldn't help but cough after it.
"You should take it easy there." The waitress said with a smile.
"So, you said her name was Samantha Y something, right?" Morgan asked.
"Yeah, I can't seem to remember her last name." James responded.
"Excuse me, but can I borrow your PADD." Morgan looked up at the waitress who was still standing at their table. She was about to crush his dreams completely of ever getting it on with this woman. "Does she have long wavy brunette hair and black eyes?" Morgan asked as the waitress handed her the PADD.
James nodded as he looked at Morgan. Did she know who this woman was? That would be really nice if she did, maybe she can help him out. There were ideas already running through his head. "Yes, she does. Do you know her?"
Allison had leaned back in the chair and watched in amusement as Morgan teased James a little bit. She couldn't wait to see the expression on his face when he found out who she was.
"James..." Morgan looked at him. "Everyone on this vessel knows who she is expect for you it seems." She brought the PADD up. "Her name is Commander Samantha York; she is the commanding officer of this vessel James." Morgan explained to him as she brought the PADD up and showed her file to him in case he didn't believe her.
James was about to protest but when he saw the PADD he believed her. His didn't know how to react at the moment. He had tried to ask the commanding officer of the vessel out on a date. This was even new for him. He picked up the glass and looked at the waitress. "I need another, and make it quick."
Both Morgan and Allison couldn't help but laugh at his reaction. It was slightly sad but it was almost very amusing and going to be very interesting and entertaining from this point on.
