Mission:
Peace, or Something Like It
Location: Security Department
An odd meeting, of the Security Personnel.
Sitting around the Chief Security Officer's office.
Except the Chief Security Officer was not present.
"Well, now." Daniels said. "I suppose we should figure out who's in charge of this department, before we get off this base."
"Well, I am, quite obviously." Lire said.
And at the same time, Alexandria said, "I'm taking that liberty."
Both women turned, and looked at eachother.
"Like bloody hell, you feral woman!" Lire yelled.
At the same time, Alexandria laughed, and said, "You don't have the hair, or the authority-presence needed."
Daniels suddenly realized he had opened, not a can of worms, as he originally concluded, but Pandora's box. The Pandorica. Whatever definition you want to think of it, it wasn't good.
"You decide!" Lire said, pointing at Daniels.
"Let's ask Jaxara." Alexandria said, again, at the same time.
Then the dispute widened.
"YOU TWO ARE ATTACHED AT THE HIP! HE'S BIASED!" Alexandria yelled, pointing at Daniels.
And at the same time, Lire pointed in the direction of the brig cells. "HE'S AN IDIOT! WHY THE HELL SHOULD WE FOLLOW HIS JUDGEMENT?"
Daniels looked at Myrna, and shook his head. "Because he's the Chief."
"AND HE'S AN IDIOT!" Lire retorted.
"Which is why he is in the brig. Yes. We all know that. It's still his call, as to who leads the department. OR we can involve the Captain in this, and I'm sure she'd absolutely love to come down here, and solve your petty squabble." Daniels said.
"He's right." Alexandria said, shaking her head.
"So... we're going to ask Jaxara?" Lire asked.
"Yup." Daniels said. "Well, I am, anyways."
"You can't! He's an idiot!" Lire yelled.
"Lieutenant Junior Grade Myrna Lire, you have repeatedly shown unprofessional attitude towards the command structure of this ship, and this department. I hereby order you, as Master-at-Arms, to relinquish your current position until such time that the Chief Security Officer reinstates it, for the safety, and security of this vessel. Failure to comply will result in an arrest." Alexandria said.
And at once, Myrna knew she had been beaten.
"How the hell did you pull that off?" She asked.
Daniels laughed. "She played on the right strings, to get you to be a stubborn..."
"Foot. Mouth. Now. Not a good start to that sentence, boy." Alexandria noted.
"Sir, Yes sir!" He exclaimed in agreement.
