[Hallway to Sickbay]

Leanne just left holodeck two as she received an emergency call to sickbay. Her nurse didn't tell her what happened, but mentioned the new doctor's name. Today was her day off, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't have to be on call. She was glad that the new doctor transferred to this ship to help out with the schedule or otherwise, she would be the only doctor. The other day, she has requested to the Captain that she needed more help on this new ship and getting this new doctor was heaven for her. It has lowered her stress level of doing everything.

[Sickbay]

The doctor walked into the sickbay and a nurse ran up to her. "What's going on, Barbara?"

Nurse Tarango grasp her forearm to pull her in the direction, "Over here. It's...it's..."

"Calm down and tell me," Leanne said as she followed her into an office which is her office. By the time she went in, she found Doctor Hart on the floor on his back. In an instant, Leanne ran to him and got down on her knees to check his carotid pulse. She let out a relief breath as she found a pulse. She raised her voice, "Doctor Hart? Can you hear me?"

"He won't wake up. I have tried that and had to call you as we don't have a doctor...the next scheduled appointment is in five minutes," the nurse said.

"Call that person and reschedule it," Leanne said as she looked at Barbara quickly. "And reschedule the rest of today's appointments."

"Yes, ma'am," she said as she left the office.

Leanne looked at Jason as she placed her hands to his head to palpate it, moving to the back down to the neck. From there, she slides her hands over his chest to feel for anything out of the ordinary. Then she moves her hands to his hips and skips over to his legs to his feet. She went back up to his arms and slides her hands till she reached his wrists. She turned over his both hands to find burn marks.

She stood up and looked around the office. Seeing the replicator with a burnt mark, Leanne went over to inspect it. She went back to Jason to check his pulse again. This time it was erratic. "Crap," she hit her combadge, "Nurse...get the cardiostimulator, STAT!"

In less than a minute, Barbara came back into the office and frowned as she handed her the instrument. "What happened this time?"

"Looks more like electrocution...I don't have a tricorder...get me a set of vitals, will ya?" She said as she placed the instrument at Jason's left temple. She touched a button and his body jumped. Leanne put her fingers to his neck pulse, "Regular rhythm."

"Vitals: heart rate at 85, respirations is 20, blood pressure within normal limit," the nurse said after she opened a tricorder and does the scans. "Electrocution?"

"Yes...from that replicator over there. I'm calling the Chief of Engineering to see what is going on with the system." She removed herself from the floor to stand up.

"Oh. I'll monitor him."

Leanne walked out of the office to the empty sickbay and hit her combadge. =^=Doctor Bowen to the Chief of Engineering...=^=

=^= Ensign Lovok here Doctor, the chief is... Busy right now, how can I help you? =^= Marek answered after a tap of his combadge.

=^= Ensign, let the chief know that the replicator in my office has fired some kind of proton beam. It has hit my doctor and electrocuted him. Do you know anything about this situation? We are afraid to be around the replicator...=^=

Marek was shocked at such terrible news and he suddenly realised he had been silent too long. =^= I'm afraid I do not know about this situation but I shall come over and take a look at it. I'll inform the chief first, =^= Marek kept the channel open and went to seek out the Chief Engineer.

While she kept the combadge link opened, she went back into her office to check on her co-worker. "Any changes, nurse?"

"No, ma'am," Barbara said as she closed the tricorder. "We should get him off the floor to a biobed."

"Don't you think he is a little too heavy for us to lift him? I think we should wait till an engineering offcer comes and maybe he can help us."

"What about the EMH?"

"I wouldn't dare use it, especially of what happened to the replicator." She went over to a cabnet and pulled out a pillow. Leanne bent down at the doctor's head and put the pillow under it. She stood up, "I'm wondering what is taking so long..."

Marek walked into Sickbay, toolkit in hand, he approached the Chief Medical Officer. "Doctor, the chief asked me to look into your replicator issues."

"Yes, it is over there, but can you help us lift Dr. Hart to a biobed?" She checked the patient's pulse again, waiting.

"Sure," the Romulan said and placed his toolkit down before he came to Doctor Hart's side. He waited for the Chief Medical Officer to direct the lift effort.

Leanne and Barbara grabbed the legs while the engineer scooped his hands under the armpits of the doctor. "Here we go...1, 2, 3, lift!" As a team, they lifted Doctor Hart's body from the floor and moved him into the main sickbay, placing him on the biobed. "Thank you, Ensign. You may use as much time in my office to fix that replicator."

"Your welcome." Marek smiled. "I'll get straight to it," he nodded, grabbed his toolkit then headed into the Chief Medical Officer's office to begin inspecting the replicator.

Doctor Bowen picked up a hypospray, placing a container with medicine into the instrument, and moved to Jason's neck to inject the sedative. She looked up at Barbara with the tricorder in hand, "Monitor him every fifteen minutes for at least two hours."

"Yes, ma'am."

Marek took out the panel that was at the back of the nook that revealed the internal workings. He began the standard checks and scans with a tricorder; he every now and again grabbed a tool from his kit to use it on the replicator internals.

Doctor Bowen walked into her office, keeping her distance from the replicator. "Find anything?" She hopes that her question doesn't distract him too much.

The Romulan engineer shook his head at the replicator internal workings as he spotted a power conduit had ruptured from inside the conduit itself. Marek thought it was odd and quickly shut down the unit as it was still emitting radiation.

=^= Lovok to Engineering, =^= Marek called after a quick tap of his combadge.

=^= Jorias here sir. =^= The Petty Officer 1st Class replied.

=^= I need a replacement replicator power conduit please Petty Officer, =^= Marek requested.

=^= Right away sir, Jorias out. =^= The channel closed and Marek suddenly realised that Doctor Bowen was talking to him. "Sorry Doctor what was that? I get lost in my work," He said.

"What I was saying...did you find what is wrong with it? If that thing is leaking radiation...it must be serious," Leanne wondered. She turned and left him alone to work. I guess I'll have to use the lounge to get my coffee, she thought as she went to check on her co-worker.
