Bugs in the system

Mission: Transitions
Location: Deck 2 quarters

Kalyka was coming out of someone's quarters on deck two where she was working with Javil, fixing the replicators. Often she found herself wondering why he didn't wear his earring. He was, after all, half Bajoran. Then she decided that must prefer his spots to his ridges.

She met him outside the door. "Any luck?"

He shook his head. "Can't find anything wrong with any of them."

Kalyka sighed. "We just have to keep looking. There has to be something somewhere that's causing this."

Javil stopped and she stopped with him. "What if it's not in the replicator system? What if it is somewhere else?"

Kalyka thought a moment. "Like a virus someone left for us."

Javil nodded. "Or a glitch programmed into the computer."

She nodded. "Either way it would mean going to the computer core." She thought only a moment longer before saying, "You keep working here, I'm going to the computer core to see if that's what it is."

"Aye, ma'am."

Kalyka arrived at the computer core and started with Alpha section and went through it bit by bit...little by little. She found the replicators...sure enough the ones on Deck two were actually programmed to be like that. She also found another problem, but saw that it was connected to the holodecks. If anyone was in the holodecks, they could be hurt. That said, she needed to make sure everyone was out of the holodecks. If they weren't...then it could get ugly.

She would need to either go to every holodeck to shut them down, or go to her office. Sighing, she left for her office in engineering.
