[Sickbay]

Erin strolled into sickbay, glad to be away from the hustle of the corridors for a second.
''Lieutenant Bowen?'' The Kazon called, looking around, curiously.
She had figured it would be good to meet the CMO, seeing as they were in the same department. ''Am I disturbing you?''

"Yes and no...come on in," Leanne glanced at the lady as she set her PADD down to give her attention. "What can I do for you?"

''Sorry, I wont be long.'' Erin said apologetically, holding out her hand.
''Ensign Erin Tal, Cheif Counceller.'' She said with a smile. ''I thought I'd introduce myself, seeing as we're going to be working in the same department.''

She accepted the handshake after rising from her chair and sat back down. "Nice to meet you. I'm Doctor Leanne Bowen, Chief Medical Officer. Please have a seat."

''Thanks, Doctor.'' Erin sat down, glancing around sickbay in interest.
''Ive never worked with a CMO before so you'll have to excuse any newbie blunders I may make.'' She smiled slightly.
''By the way, I want to ask before I forget, is there any crewmen who require current councelling or have any appointments? I need to get up to speed and I thought you'd be the best person to ask.''

"I am easy to get along with...I don't bite," she said as she leaned back in her chair. "I haven't gotten to know everybody yet, so it is too early to tell if they need counseling or not."

Erin smiled in relief. ''So you're relatively new here too, huh?'' She asked, sitting back comfortably. ''Glad to know I'm not the only one.''

With a smile, "Yes, I am new here as well as being the chief medical officer for the first time." Leanne notice a small scar under her left eye, but didn't want to say anything about it as it may be a personal one. She noticed that she has a different skin color as well as her eye color. "So, what kind of species are you? I've never see anybody of your kind."

Erin smiled. ''Not many people have.'' She admitted with a little shrug. ''I'm a Kazon, hailing from the far side of the delta quadrant. Hence why you hav'nt seen many of us.'' She added lightly.
''So what about you.. human?'' She guessed. ''You dont look anything other than humaniod.. no other alien features, so I'll guess earth?''

She nodded the attitude change. "Like I said, I'm still new and didn't study too much into xenobiology. If I have offended you in any way, I am sorry. Yes...Earth is where I'm from."

Erin blinked. ''Not at all, no offence taken.'' She shook her head jovially.
''Sorry if you thought that, I'm stull getting used to socially interacting with humans.''

A sigh of relief escaped her, "I see...so glad to hear that. So, where is your office located? I thought it would be near sickbay. If any of the patients need counseling, I would know where to send them," the doctor wondered.

Erin nodded and gestured to the left. ''Its just down the corridor, actually. Quite handy for location.'' She said cheerfully as her COMMbadge beeped.
''Well I'm sure you're a busy woman. Thanks for taking the time.'' She stood up and held out her hand again with a smile.
''Nice to meet you Doctor.''

"Same here," Doctor Bowen said as she watched the Counselor leaves sickbay.
