Hawkes had made a habit of getting up early and taking Bella for a run around Jupiter's Arbortoreum. The daily 15 mile run kept them both fit, as well as given Hawkes time to mull over the things he needed to make the Orion's Marines the best in the fleet.

He knew the CO was aboard the station and made a mental note to square away his diary in order to meet his new boss. He also needed to check in with the Orion's CO and XO. Realising he was going to be spending a great deal of the day stuck in one office or another, so he pushed himself and Bella on for another 5 miles before heading back to his quarters to shower.
