After getting an update, Jayna went to science to find the Chief and see what she could do to help him decrypt the data. As she ran into Remy and Logan, she let them know about the lunar facility and invited them to join her. She hoped the Chief Science Officer wouldn't mind.

Looking up at the sounds of the door opening, Aenar surmised that his visitor was from the Intel department as he spied the grey undertunic. Getting up from his desk, he approached the door to his office and waved her over, 'Lieutenant Jayna, I presume?'

"Just Jayna," she said. "You have some data? Can you tell me what you saw?"

Behind Jayna was a large Caitian male, dressed in a raggedy tunic top and pants, covering a patched cloak which rest on his broad shoulders. One his left shoulder rest a small capuchin, clinging to his cloak. He soon came to a stop behind Jayna, crossing his arms over his chest.

'Ah, Lieutenant Batiste, is it?' Aenar gave the man a bobbing nod of acknowledgement, 'please follow me, I'm sure we'll be more comfortable sitting down.' He glanced back as he headed for his office, 'I'm sure Ensign Tuff will be along shortly too. Does the capuchin want something to eat or drink?'

The capuchin on the Caitian's shoulder began to chirp, not out of a request for food, but it came out more like an odd laughing. He began to pat the side of the Caitian's head which only prompted a soft growl to form in the large cat's throat.

Suddenly the sound of someone clearing his throat came from behind the Caitian. "I'm Lieutenant Batiste." came a voice as a small figure stepped around the Caitian. It was a little person in a Starfleet grey Uniform, with the proper pips on his neck. He stepped forward and nodded toward Aenar. "My large friend here is Logan. You're not the first to mistake us for twins." He said with a slight smirk. "The capuchin is called Spock and he is always hungry."

"I invited the rest of the team," Jayna said. "I thought they'd be interested in the data, too. Remy is the chief. Logan and I are his assistants."

"Yes." Remy added as he placed his hand behind his back, smiling a bit, before saying. "Spock is the last link in our chain of command. So, you can imagine, things have to get pretty bad when the monkey is the one making the decisions."

Deliberately, Tuff walked into the room. He looked around and stared particularly hard at the monkey, wondering what it was doing here. "Ensign Tuff, reporting in," he informed everyone, his eyes not leaving the monkey.

Spock, the capuchin, stared back at the creature that just walked in. Not because it was intimidating, or because it was staring at him, but for his own curiosity. He had never seen a bird thing like that before. It was an interesting bird thing. He let out an almost awe struck coo as he tilted his head to the side.

"Curious," Tuff replied, almost Vulcan like. "Is that a pet or what purpose does that thing have?"

"Spock?" Jayna said. "He keeps Remy in line." She gave the intel officer a cheeky grin. "I'm Mira Jayna," she said, introducing herself to Chevy. "I don't believe we've met."

Considering the statement, Chevy weighed it and rummaged through his memory. "I believe that is correct. We have not met. I am Ensign Chevy Tuff, computer specialist." He paused and looked at the monkey again. "Its name is Spock. It was named after one of the greatest members in Starfleet history. That is certainly an auspicious choice."

Spock, the capuchin, continued to look a Chevy Tuff with such curiosity. The monkey's head tilted slightly until finally he got an idea. He climbed down the large Caitian's arm and hung there, reaching into his cloak pocket, and pulled out a date his large friend kept for Spock as a treat. He let out a happy coo before leaping down onto the floor and scurrying off to the large bird thing.

"We didn't name him. His trainer did." Remy replied as he watched Spock. He let out a smile once he saw what the capuchin was doing.

The monkey stopped in front of Chevy's feet and looked up at the bird thing. He tilted his head curiously before raising to the tip of his hind legs, as if it would make much of a difference, and stretched his arms up holding his date towards the Ensign. He was offering him one of his dates. Possibly as a sign of friendship. Possibly because he through the Ensign was hungry. Maybe a little bit of both.

Logan, the large Caitian, looked at Spock and let out a slight smile. "He usually never gives away his own food like that."

Jayna chuckled. "He must like you."

Tuff tilted his head curiously. After considering all the facts and Logan and Jayna's comment, Tuff had to agree that this was a gesture of kindness. He bent down and accepted the date. He took a small bite of it and told Spock, "Thank you, Spock." Still being bent on the ground, the Betelgeuseian opened his palm and left it for the monkey to inspect.

Spock screeched in excitement. His head bouncing from Jayna, to Logan, to Tuff, to Logan, to Jayna, and back to Tuff. The capuchin was elated he made a new friend. Taking the bird thing's hand, he jumped up and down, before coming to a stop to rest his head on the open palm. He let out an almost relaxed coo before looking up to Logan.

"Now you're in trouble, Ensign." Logan said in his deep voice as he took a date from his pocket. He whistled quickly, getting Spock's attention, before showing up the date. "Now, settle down, Spock. We got work."

Spock looked up to his Caitian friend and went wide eyed seeing the date. He immediately let go of Tuff's hand and extended them to Logan, anticipating him to toss the date, so he could catch it. When his friend tossed the date, Spock caught it in both his small hands, before looking up to Tuff. He happily held his hands up to his new bird thing friend, holding the date, before bringing it down to himself so he could begin to eat it. In his way, sharing a meal with his new friend.

"In trouble, how?" Tuff asked, watching the monkey eat while sitting in his hand.

"He's accepted you. Now he'll expect you to give him treats and play with him, too," Jayna said.

Logan smirked slightly as he added. "You think he's our pet when really we're his."
