"You're sure about this?" Kit asked skeptically.
Stevie waved her hands at the other woman. "Yes, yes, yes, I told you, Doc set it all up. He's got the holodeck reserved and it's all set up as a surprise for Nhallia. We are just taking care of the baby for a couple hours," she said as she triggered the door chime.
"A surprise? You mean she doesn't-" Kit started but the door slid open and interrupted her.
"Oh, hi, girls. What can we do for you?" Nhallia said with a smile, bracing Aurea on her shoulder.
Stevie swooped in, reaching for the baby. "You can give me my little darling, is what you can do," she cooed as she all but snatched Aurea out of Nhallia's arms.
Nhallia shook her head and sighed. "Alright then, come on in." She stepped aside and let her friends in. "How are you both?"
Kit eyed Nhallia for a moment and then took a deep breath. "Apparently we're a surprise."
"You're a what?"
"A surprise!" Stevie interrupted and handed the baby off to Kit, grabbing Nhallia's hands and dragging her towards the bedroom. "Now, you get changed, and then go, have fun, enjoy yourself. Kit and I are here to take care of everything while you and Doc enjoy a nice, relaxing sunset on the beach. So shoo!"
"Wait, what are you talking about?" Nhallia asked as Stevie started digging through her closet for a swimsuit.
Kit followed, swaying a bit, with Aurea. "You have a date," she explained. "You are joining your husband on holodeck 1 for the next three hours. Stevie and I are going to babysit. You'd better pick a bathing suit and change, or Stevie just might help."
Stevie laughed. "Yes, I would. So get a move on, Nhallia, and don't you worry about a thing- we've got this!"
Before Nhallia really thought caught up to what was happening, she was changed into a new swimsuit, a rich dark teal one-piece that only had a strap on one shoulder and cut high up on the hips to accent her legs, and a had a black sarong tied around her waist and was practically pushed out the door, which then closed and was locked behind her, leaving nowhere to go but holodeck 1.
((Holodeck 1))
Newmark was in his blue swim trunks with a sleeveless shirt on as he finalized the setting. It was a beach in the Earth Bahamas; the clear blue ocean stretched out before him, sea spray on the light breeze to keep it more manageable. The white sands were warm but not hot, a tree line with a small cabana and even a hammock between two trees.
He had a large Beach blanket set out with the towels for them to just lay about if Nhallia wanted. The girls had been more than willing to take time with their shared God-child. Newmark himself has some nerves penned up as he wondered if he were not pushing her slightly? He really missed being with his wife; his fingers were a bit twitchy as they had not been able of late to knead into the supple skin of his wife and slowly massage the tensions away.
Being half Nuvian he had a special connection through touch with humanoids; his race was said to be the best massage artists in the universe; he had only half the number of fingers that his mother, mostly due to his human heritage, but no one that he had given therapy to complained. His wife was an integral part of his own relaxing; he could massage her tensions out of her body and his seemed to follow and be gone with giving her comfort.
Standing back he took in the scene of a beautiful day of a beach and wait his wife's arrival. Though he did wonder if the Girls sent her out in a bikini; his wife was beautiful and the looks she might get... he wondered if he had given this the right amount of thought.
Nhallia stepped into the holodeck, looking a little bewildered. Stevie was a whirlwind and she could easily bewilder anyone; it usually took several minutes to recover from a run in with Hurricane Stevie.
With entry of his wife announced by the opening of the arch Newmark moved closer to her. Marveling at the way his wife wore the swimsuit; she was a lovely woman and how he had managed to get her to marry him was still a question in his mind. Putting his hands on her waist he brought her closer.
"Hello, Lovely One." He winked as he made eye contact and gently caress the small of her back.
Nhallia raised her eyebrows a little. "Hi," she said back. "What... is going on?" she asked.
"Just wanted my wife to have time to relax." He gesture over his shoulder. "I thought you might want to play in the waves for a change of scenery?" He leaned down and kissed her. "I seem to recall my Surfer Girl?"
Nhallia automatically and instinctively nestled into him as he kissed her, her arms sliding around his back without her thinking about it. "I meant... I'm just a little surprised... And Stevie didn't exactly explain anything," she said as she leaned into him.
"Would you have come come without the Little One if I had just asked?" He asked with a sly grin. "Remember she and I made a deal and you being able to come and have time to play is part of that you know?"
"I didn't realize your negotiations had been that extensive. I thought it was just not fussing through the evenings that you had arranged." She looked towards the ocean. "This is a little more than just sleeping nice after dinner."
"What can I say; your body is very relaxed when you are in the surf playing." He referred to how he could tell her body tensions by the way she moved, he knew her so well it was painful for him to watch her with tension in her flowing form. "And very soft after you have played ?" He gave that sly grin. "Then maybe another of the 150 points we have left to go?"
"A little swim might be nice. It has been a while." She untied the sarong at her waist and dropped it onto the blanket. "Are you coming in for a quick dip, too?"
"Always with you." He offered a light and playful pat to her bum as he passed in his race to the water line.
Nhallia moved a little slower, with a glance back at where the arch would be if she asked for it- and an access to the comm system incidentally. The girls had shoved her out without her commbadge, so she couldn't call to check on the girls without the arch. After the swim, she told herself. She'd call and check after a swim.
She waded slowly into the water to enjoy the way the sand compressed under her feet and the surf lapped at her ankles and climbed up her legs as she walked deeper. The receding waves pulled her gently forward until she was deep enough to duck-dive into the water and swim out deeper.
After a few good pulls, she surfaced and turned over to float on her back, allowing the water to suspend her and rock her gently. She closed her eyes and smiled and just rode the ocean.
*There's My Girl.* Newmark thought to himself as he watched his wife just a few meters away in her element; the ocean.
As she floated along with a smile he moved within reach and decided to do the same riding of the waves. he did however extend his hand to lace their fingers together and just relax as she was doing.
Nhallia started to lift her head as his fingers touched hers, but she changed her mind as he didn't seem to be trying to get her attention and she just allowed their fingers to twine together naturally while they drifted together.
She stayed that way for several minutes before she opened her eyes and glanced to the side. She squeezed the hand in hers. "We're being pulled out by the tide," she pointed out. "We better move in a little closer or we might get lost out here."
"Can't have that." He let her fingers go and started to redirect himself towards the beach. "Do you want to swim back or have some real fun?" He asked with a wink." He had decided he liked her in the teal swimsuit and was not quite ready to bask in the sun.
"Real fun? What kind of real fun?" she asked with a smile.
"Computer, two surfboards..." Newmark waited for two boards to appear.
Nhallia almost laughed. "Oh, that kind of real fun," she said and reached for the board to pull herself up to sit astride it.
Newmark got himself up on the board and sat ready to start paddling.
"Any type of setting for surf conditions you prefer?" He winked as he had learn to surf while being with Nhallia it was something she taught him. "These were much more fun taking lessons from you than any Holo teacher."
"Glad you liked spending time with me more than a holo-teacher." She thought a little. "Let's get some medium swells with a light offshore wind- a little before sunset. Sound good to you, Lover?" she checked with him before setting to a less than beginner level of surf.
"This is your fun." He smiled. "I am sure seeing your husband wiping up a few times will not hinder your day if you set things where you can have fun." He answered. "You told me the bigger the challenge the quicker I learn?"
She laughed a little. "As long as you don't get hurt.
"The safeties are in place." Newmark chuckled. "I am not up to your level so I made sure they were on."
"Smart man to know when you're in over your head," she laughed. Nhallia gave him a little grin and requested her preferred surf conditions and started paddling out to a good spot. She liked an offshore wind for the barrel waves, personally, and the medium swells would be a challenge for Verdeath, but not impossible.
"I learn from experts." He smiled and followed her to the spot in hopes of getting the wave.
The first one that came in was a bit sneaky to him and he started paddling just a bit too late and only rode a swell on the first try...
