Arnon and Victoria materialized in Sickbay, Arnon holding Victoria in his arms.

"Rhiannon!" Arnon called out.

"Dad?" Rhiannon replied. "What are...what happened?"

Rhiannon didn't wait for the answer but rather helped her father lift Victoria onto a biobed.

"A booby-trap," he said. "A spring loaded arrow has pierced Victoria's lung. Rhiannon...she's been poisoned!"

"Wait," Rhiannon. "This is that Victoria...your Victoria? Okay, take a deep breath. I know it's been a while but you can do this."

Arnon took a deep breath and let it out.

"Analyse the toxin and have the computer replicate an anti-toxin," Arnon said as Rhiannon set up a IV line. Other members of the medical staff came over to help prep their leader for surgery. "Prep her for transport surgery."

Rhiannon and some of the staff stopped.

"Uh, Dad, isn't that..." she said.

"We have to get the arrow out!" Arnon said. "Scans show it is barbed. If we pull it out or push it through, it's going to shred her lung! Where's that anti-toxin?"

"The computer is still working on it," a corpsman said. "There, it's done, sir! Computer is recommending an intravenous drip over several hours. It's really quite a clever solution, sir. The poison appears to be adaptive, but the computer found a similar poison in its records and is replicating an adaptive anti-toxin now."

"Dad," Rhiannon said. "We're going to put her under now. Do you want to say anything to her. Also, should I find Doctor Newmark?"

Arnon nodded and went to Victoria's side and took her hand.

"I'm here, my love," he said. "We're going to take care of you."

Victoria nodded slightly as blackness blurred her vision. Voices echoed around her. She found it hard to concentrate her thoughts as once again the blackness took hold. Suddenly she found herself surrounded by a bright white light.

Helga walked quickly into the room. "How can I help, Doctor?" she asked, quickly assessing the Doctor's needs.

Newmark came out from the back area , he had heard the commotion. When he entered the room he look to the crowd forming and then to the patent. Doctor Drani with a protrusion out of her chest. He did not waste words asking where the problem was ; unfolding the tricorder and snatching the probe in a fluid motion.

"Poisoned I presume?" Newmark asked; his past coming to the front of his mind and recalling similar types of things. "The barbing has made a good bit of damage on teh way in." He looked to the Counselor saw he knew his medical staff. "Dare I ask what happened?" Newmake put the tricroder down and put his hands at keep point around her head, to feel teh breathing and the flow of her blood and even her life force. "I have seen and felt worst, things happen under combat conditions, I am going to have to open her up a bit." Glancing to Helga. "Prep OR one, full sterilization field, whole plasma and the trama kit." He kept checking her vitals and opened her eyes to inspect the pupals. "Don't Worry Doc; They don't keep me here for my personality, I will fix you up." HIS hand hurt a but a slow throbbing pain. "Better hurry with that Anti-Toxin, might need a bit of a boost here?"

"OR One is already prepped," Helga said. "Sterilization field is up with a trauma kit. I'll have the whole plasma in a moment." She turned and hurried back out.

"I was going to beam the arrow out," Arnon said. "To minimize the damage to her lung tissue. We could then move in and repair the damaged lung. It's tricky, but it can be done. Victoria..."

Arnon's voice caught for a moment. He recovered and continued to speak.

"My apologies," he said. "Victoria had the equipment needed to perform such a surgery brought aboard at our last stopover."

Drani saw humanoid shadows approaching her from all sides in the white light and stopped, except one, whose face she recognized. The woman had long black hair and dark eyes, dressed in a civilian medical uniform. "Mom?"

Helga turned to Arnon. "Talk to her. She needs to hear your voice."

Arnon nodded. He took Victoria's hand and kissed it. He reached out and touched Victoria's cheek.

"Victoria," Arnon said. "My love, I'm here. I'm here with you. You are safe. We are going to take care of you."

Newmark used the probe to the arrow; getting an accurate scan of it so the Transporter could get an accurate lock down to the molecule. With a simple command the Arrow was transported out of the body and to a sterilized containment unit for further study to help narrow down the toxins.

"That should take care of the major injury but with the spreading of the Toxins I think it best that we put her in stasis." Newmark recommended. "I have the Arrow in the Medical Lab in a sterile containment." He explained. "We can study and get the matrix of the poison and then create the anti-serum while she is in stasis."

"I'll run a blood sample," Helga said. "It won't take long to compare this with her last sample. Once we identify the toxin, we can create an antitoxin."

She pressed an empty hypospray to Drani's neck and extracted a sample of blood. When the vial was inserted into one of the computers, Helga began the analysis and turned back to the doctor. "What else can I do to help you, Doctor?"

"Just take care of Victoria," Arnon said. "I'm trusting you all to make her whole again."

"That is the calling I follow." Newmark said as he prepared the systems. "We will do everything in our power to heal her Counselor."

Rhiannon looked at her father. She'd seen him in this state before, when Mother Rachel, Carlos' birth mother, was ill. He didn't let Rachel see him this way. He wanted to keep her spirits up. But Rhiannon would catch him in this worried state when he thought no one was looking. She whispered in a corpsman's ear. The corpsman left for a moment and came back with a chair for Arnon. It was tall enough for him to sit and still be close to Victoria.

"Someone...someone should notify her sister..." Arnon said. "She'd want to be here..."
