"How much time do you have devoted to the answers?" Keelan asked with an surprisingly diplomatic tone. "As I could have the night regaling you with their backgrounds and how they are of service to the King?" He explained. "Or I can give you the very basics on each one and field more of the questions you would have afterward? SHall I start with their name and what purpose they actually serve to begin?"

“Let’s start with the basics. Your time is far more precious than mine and I would not want to take you away from your efforts." She replied in an equally diplomatic tone.
[ 2 Hours later]
Keelan was just completing the latest round on the counsil members that would be his 'short version' of the members that are on the board. HE had the pot refilled several times as he knew that facts and observations could be quite 'draining ' but it is what they asked of him and he wanted to make sure they had the caffine to get through it all.
"That is a brief over view of the people and I know that Jamus the Minister of Public affairs is among those with more say and pull with the other members as well as Mulack; who is over seeing the natural resource Management and Of course Herous who is the minister of the..." He had to recall what he had given as a translation? "PRotectors of the realm."
"That's quite the prestigious title." She commented. "Could you tell me more about Minister Herous? What does his duties entail?"
"I believe in your terms of personnel that are on the planet..." He thought. "The protectors are what you called , Security." Keelan replied. "He is in carge of the securing and protection of teh realm, all s-e-c-u-r-t-y." He said to hope he had the right word. "flows under his command."
Motioning with his hand the doors opened and a tea cart was wheeled in with four large boxes upon it. The cart stopped near the Federation Personnel and the top two boxes showing paper files stuffed to maximum capsity with information handwritten by the looks of it.
"We do not use computers among ourselves; the technology seems to take away the personal touch and relationship needed to be a strong counsil and work together as one unit." He pointed to the boxes in an offering way. "These are some notes that I have put together to highlight the major strengths and points that you might find of interest?"
"Such technology has its place but can never replace face to face interaction. It's extremely difficult to gauge ones reactions and tone through a screen." Jennifer replied.
"Well, if you ever attend a meeting of the High Council, you'll have no doubt about their reactions," the young aide said as he stacked the boxes onto the table. "But then, I imagine you get that sort of thing in your Federation, too."
"A difference in opinion is bound to happen when you place a multitude of personalities within a discussion. Our federation prides itself on acceptance of diversity and differing opinions. Do the meetings of the council tend to get heated?" She inquired.
he shrugged. "It depends on what's being discussed. Not usually, though. Mots of the time they agree. But every now and then someone wants to make a radical change or disagree with current policy."
"Has this happened as of late?" Jennifer asked.
The young Jenefran thought for a moment. "Well, a number of the counselors didn't want to fight the Qunari. It wasn't until all our envoys were killed that they came around." He shook his head as he put the last of the boxes on the table. "It's sad, when you think about it. Generations of peace and then they suddenly decide to attack us." He continued to shake his head sadly as he took the cart and left the room.
"The Qunari?" She said looking to Keelan. "Do you know why they have chosen now to attack your people?"
"It is a mystery that we are ourselves wondering about for some time." Keelan gave the 'aide' a nod to hint his departure. "When our envoys did not return it was when the relations between us - ceased." Keelan said with a calm tone. "The reaction to these crimes has been the source of some contentions you can imagine?"
"As it very well should. An unprovoked attack on your people should not be taken lightly. I can understand that the King nor council can take these acts lightly although I am sure you will find a punishment befitting the crime. I believe it would be prudent for us to speak with Minister Horeus. Perhaps he can help us find the princess, and perhaps once she is safe we can discuss the Qunari."
"It is too late in the day for you to call upon him but in the early hours he will be in the chamber areas doing his tasks about the Offices and readily available." Keelan assured. "I am sure any discussions with the Qunari will not be so simple they are a proud people and emotional."
The young Jenefran returned with a tray of food. "As you will be here a while, the King thought you might like refreshment. He said to tell you the couch is a most comfortable place to sleep should you so desire."
Keelan stood. "Send a message if you have any further questions."
