[Jenefran Council Room]
The group beamed down outside the Jenefran Council room. Several stewards stood somberly at a pair of large double doors. "They are waiting for you inside," one said as he opened the doors.
A large table equal in side to the dining table of the night before, sat in the middle of a large room. The walls were marble, but no tapestries hung over them. The windows were high and narrow, letting in a diffuse light.
"Please, be seated. We have grave news and need your assistance," the King said.
Sam glanced at Damon and squeezed his hand. It was going to be as bad as they feared. "Thank you," she said, walking in and taking one of the empty seats.
Jennifer took a seat as she glanced curiously at the King concerned about what had brought them here.
Victoria took her seat slowly. Thankfully she hadn't puked after transport. It was over for now and taking a deep breath, she relaxed into her seat.
Feeling and seeing Victoria relax, Arnon did so as well. He took a seat at the table and waited for the meeting to begin.
Keelan stood behind the King's throne on the right side with an expression he maintained as neutral; it was obvious though something had gone wrong; he was not feeling at ease; irritation and just wanting to do something was an emotion he tried to contain as he remained seemingly impassive to those around him.
T'Pral took a seat in turn, stoic as ever, her face unreadable. Her hands clasped neatly upon the table.
Illise found a seat next to T'Pral. Attentive to the situation, she only glanced breifly at the architecture, noting the lack of decoration. This room was meant for the business of state.
"We have two matters of some consequence," Mrowen began. "My daughter disappeared during the night. Keelan believes she was kidnapped by the Qunari."
Keelan stiffened slightly as he stepped forward to address the council as well as the Federation Guests.
"We are still getting reports from the guards ; The Princess went for a walk alone in the gardens, the guards were to give her space to be alone. Despite warnings for her safety being a princess and all it is believed she was abducted while on that walk." He made eye contact with the counsil members. "This is a grave event and we are deploying forces to search for her throughout the city and expanding to surrounding areas."
Keelan bowed to the King before continuing.
"We have decided to keep this as low of a profile as possible for now and would, with respects, ask for all resources be discretely deployed in this rescue attempt." Keelan bow to the council. "The responsibility for this situation will fall upon the Vizier and as he I shall accept the shame. I also vow to take care of this situation to the best conclusion that I can."

"I would suggest taking an analytic approach and gather data from both the scene and her route including those who were last in the presence of the Princess, privately of course. Once we determine the exact circumstances we can then make our best approach to recovering the Princess your highness." Jennifer suggested.
Sam nodded. "With enough evidence, we can either send some of our own people to help in the search, or use the resources on the Calypso," she added. She was concerned about Kali and wondered if this had any connection with what Kali told her.
T'Pral spoke up, "Forgive my question, but I request clarity. What makes us assume it was the Qunari, or indeed, an abduction?"
"Because who else would want to abduct a princess from the royal grounds." He glanced to the Federation personnel. "We do not have the technology making someone simply vanish in thin air." He nod. We are trying to find signs of the route used to get her out of the city and starting from there."
T'Pral's eyebrow rose, as she had more concerns. There was an obvious prejudice at play, to say nothing of the motives involved on all sides. However, as the discussion continued, she remained silent and stoic.
"I have people who can help with that," Sam said. She was eager to find Kali and make sure she was safe. "People who can track from the ground and from the sky." Like T'Pral, Sam was not so sure it was the Qunari. She needed empirical evidence before making any judgments. She turned to the King. "With your permission, of course."
Mrowen nodded. "Please. We will accept any help you can give us to find my daughter and bring her home safely."
Sam nodded, pleased at the response. "To facilitate the investigation, I believe we should leave one of our people here to liaise with you. I believe Commander Tate would be the best suited for such a task." Although Jennifer was biased, she did seem to get along well with the King and would therefore be the best choice to stay at the palace.
Jennifer smiled uneasily not knowing whether to be complimented or insulted by the gesture. On one hand she was honored to be chosen to represent the Federation here, but on the other hand she felt as though York was trying to distance her from the Calypso crew. Regardless of her opinions or York's motives she had a job to do and she was going to do it damned well. But first, she needed resources. "Ma'am, pardon my interruption but to be of any use here I would require a mobile terminal with uplink. I am an analyst by trade and without such, I'm afraid I'm no more use to anyone then a phaser with no battery."
"A mobile terminal?" the King asked. "For what purpose?"
Oops. Arnon decided to engage in a little diplomacy.
"Not to worry, Your Majesty," he said. "She won't be mobily terminating anyone. We use mobile terminals when we need more processing power than is offered in our handheld devices. A mobile terminal can more effectively interact with our ship's computer from the planet surface and gives us greater access to information."
