Alex pressed the chime on the First officer's office doors. She thought it would be a good idea to meet the man, seeing as they would be working very closely together. She waited patiently for permission to enter the office.

Sheridan was going over recent changes to deck Five when he heard the chime. "Enter"

She entered with a smile and stood in front of his desk as the doors closed behind her. She switched her shapely hips to one side, then remembered herself and stood at attention. "Lieutenant Alexandra Adeyemon Reporting for duty as Chief Engineer aboard the USS Orion."

"Have a seat lieutenant, You and I have something in common that I'm sure your not aware of."

"You were born in Rome as well?" She hoped that was what he meant. The accent was unmistakable in his voice..at lest for someone from Rome with a strong accent.

"Yes I was, Two years before you were. Small Galaxy huh."

She laughed gently. "Definitely." She looked into the man's eyes for a second. He was very handsome in her opinion. But, she supposed there were more important things in the present situation.

"We can reminisce all day, but Your skills are desperately needed here, The Orion, as your aware is getting a total re-fit, Plus some. I've been arguing with contractors every shift about a few things and I'm just about ready to get 'Hands On with them... Your arrival will save them that process. I need you to keep a close eye on them. Come, lets take you to your office.

Good sized main area with several adjoining offices for her staff. The conference room had several Hologram drafting stations and All walls had Engineering holoscreens.

"This should get you running quickly, I'll expect your staff will be impressed, If you require anything else I hope you shall call on me."

She looked around. "I'm impressed. Have no doubt about that. Thank you, Lieutenant."

A man approached from the opposite side of the main room. His hair was graying, even though he was just an Ensign and very young.

"I'm Ensign Soto. Assistant Chief Engineer. It's nice to see you Lieutenant." he said

"Good to see you too." She smiled. "Please get me a list of all contractors for the Orion's refits."

"Yes ma'am."

She turned back to Lieutenant Sheridan. "If you'll excuse me sir, I've got to get these pants off..I could never work in anything but the uniforms' skirt variant."

"I understand, I'll leave you to your work, I did send a message to my Father, He knew your Father very well and asked If Don Vitto was still with us?"

She sighed, her giggle suddenly gone as she remembered her father. "Unfortunately no. He died a few years ago. I almost left the academy to spend time with my mother when it happened....but, in my opinion, he was the best damn Governor Rome ever had." Her usually grin returned slightly, a shadow of its former self.

"We shall talk of home another time perhaps, I must return to some tasks, Let me know if you need any help."

"I will. Thank you Lieutenant." She said that and followed after him toward the exit.
