Leroy waited a couple of minutes after Jae and S'renn left before calling in Wedge, Bojay and Phoenix. Sitting down and looking at his bare office he shuddered a little bit. He had promised the Captain that he would have Bojay running the flight, but he felt better if they rotated the responsibility. Talia was going to be the one in all of the meetings and she would be handing off the pertinent information to the Flight Leader in question. Stacking the last box by his office door he tapped the combadge on his chest. -^-Mangalia to Talia, Wilfred and Boregard, please come to my office.

"On my way," Phoenix said.

=^= On my way .=^= Bojay said as he put down the PADD with his latest mystery to head to the summance.

Wedge was just starting to get comfortable in his conversation with a cute yeoman. "Excuse me please." He tapped his badge and spoke. Wedge here I will report directly." He turned to the girl. "Sorry time to go and protect you from danger, that is what we do." HE winked and had to start towards the Office.

"Sit, sit," Leroy said as he took his own seat. There's something I need to tell you three. I've been called up for a rotation to do some recruiting on 001 for the Corps. So I'm going to be gone for a little bit. While that happens I will have Jae, S'renn, and you two," he said looking pointedly at Wedge and Bojay; "running the flight. Phoenix this isn't a barb at you. You're being upgraded to the flight XO, and you will be sitting in the Senior Staff meetings in my place."

"I do?" Phoenix asked, surprised. She rarely had to attend meetings.

"Does that mean we call her Boss?" Wedge asked with a smile.

"You do and I'll cross-wire your fighter," she threatened.

"I mean, I'd call her Boss but I'm also a glutton for punishment." Leroy's eyes were twinkling with mischief. "Your stint as CO is going to be for two weeks, if I'm gone any longer than that then Talia can either assign a few extra shifts or take over herself."

"I'll be very happy to see you come back," Phoenix said, unable to keep from grinning. "I'm much happier flying than being a desk jockey. I think the group of us can keep out of too much trouble while you're away."

"Well the upgrade I'm trying to make permanent," Leroy said deadpanned. "Wedge, Bojay, your being quiet, what are your thoughts?"

"She has the flight experience ." Bojay said and tilt his head. "Though her flying style needs to go up a notch if she wants to keep that slot." He smiled. "She still gets my vote, she would be a good deputy Boss.

Wedge sat back in his chair more thoughtfully and pondered his response. "Yeah , I can see her doing that and more, I like the idea of her getting promoted and having to fly in that sea of reports and such that seems to go with promotions."

"I meant you two chuckle heads running the flight while I'm gone," Leroy sighed while lying his head in one hand. A move effectually called a face palm. "What do you think of running the flight for two weeks?"

Phoenix tried not to laugh. It would be good for Wedge and Bojay to have some experience being in charge -- if they didn't break every ship in the flight in those two weeks. "Anything specific you want us to do?" she asked.

"Not get anyone killed is themain goal Talia," Leroy said with a shrug. "Other than that play nice with one another and you are the defacto me while Im not here. If something horrible happens I would like to be kept aprised."

Phoenix nodded. "I can do that."

"Good, so anyone else have a question or a comment?"

"Is this a joint things or is one of is the lead pilot?" Wedge asked.

"I think I get the even days and I'll let you keep Sunday if you like?" Bojay suggested.

Both men looked at the Leader. "Nothing really." Bojay said. "I think we are good."

"You will go by the schedule I will be sending Talia for review, who will then disseminate it across to you." Smiling he looked at all of them. "I think this is going to be a good test for all of you."
