Mission:
Of Gods and Men
Location: Calypso

[OLD]
The Brilliance was beginning to dim quickly like a person turning down a dial; the force upon the crew dwindled in direct proportion to the dimming light. No sensory information could be gained from the sphere surrounding other than teh rate of energy expenditure, the dampeners began to compensate as the light dimmed to a sunny day through a window then to light filtered through curtains and finally closer to dusk. The Gravitational forces did not play so hard and breathing was easier and the spin was slowing as well.
[NEW]
The massive surge of power ebated and the light faded away while the Ship slowed. Finally dropping to regular Space and with a counter clockwise lateral rotation of one circuit every forty two seconds as a constant. The extreme gravity forced had released the ship and no more massive strikes of energy. The emergency lighting remained constant as the the Calypso drift like a flung toy onto a surface of water.
"D-damage- reports..." Munich said as he struggeled to his feet. "Yui... can you steady our rotations and bring us to full stop?" He stood in front of the Captain's Chair and looked to the Bridge crew. "Status reports please." He took a breath. "Damage control and rescue personnel ... do your duty..." He wanted to sit but not right now, he had to show strength in diversity. "We are still on one piece, that is goot."
Just then the turbo lift doors opened as Jennifer Tate emerged from the lift. Her hair was in disarray as she had fallen within the lift. "Commander Munich, what the hell is going on?" she asked approaching the german at the center chair.
"Ve experienced extreme acceloration and since the planet is not in our proximity I would say dat we were physically moved away from our last location." He relayed. "Once we get the systems going we can verify where we are." He glanced to her. "Lieutenant Commander Tate, if you vould be so goot as to help man da bridge while we make sense of all dis? Dere vill be many reports two heads evaluating and relaying information will help us."
"Of course Commander. Have we received damage and casualty reports yet?" she asked as she approached the german.
"Engines are offline." Yui said as she straightened her hair. "That beam sent an pulse of... energy... whatever it was and has short-circuited our nacelles and impulse reactors" she tapped on her console to bring up a diagram. "Navigation is also offline, basically. I'm not quite sure where we are, The computer recorded that we traveled to the equivalent speed of.... wait a minute" she stopped a for a few seconds.
"Apparently we hit speeds that shouldn't be possible, that of nearly warp thirteen" Yui said.
"How is that even possible? Are the sensors still functioning properly?" Jennifer asked the Lieutenant. It seemed the ship had taken significant damage and it would not be beyond the realm of possibility that the sensors had been damaged in the process.
Yui shook her head in confusion. "I have no idea" she said. "All I know is that, this wasn't anything I did" she explained with a slight panic.
"I vould suggest dat ve get a lock on our position?" Munich said as he looked around. "I need to know vhere ve are and how long it iz before ve can be back on station?" He all but demanded. "Und damage reports?"
Jennifer tapped her commbadge. "Bridge to Engineering. What's the status of the navigational sensors?"
"Um, ma'am, this is Ensign de Tal. The Chief is working on it."
"Ve know dat the ship is out of orbit, get some sort of a fix on our position." Munich demanded. "HAve astrometrics look owt a vindow, I do not care I vant to know where Ve are?"
Maria was doing her best to find out where they were. "We're about two days out from the planet at warp," she said, hoping the information would help calm Hans. He tended to get a little -- animated -- when he didn't have enough information. She also wondered if there was anything else she could do to help him relax, but didn't think the bridge was the right place to say something. "Putting the data on the main viewer."
The Main viewer activated with a star chart; the star system that had the celestial designation was on the other side of the view screen. Munich started looking at the navigational Data; having been in the OPS console he could read navigational information. He stare for a good few seconds as the numbers were in his head. He made eye contact with Maria, she was none the worse for the incident; he could be relieved a bit in that and she was here with him. It was a small reward that helped him in a way to focus.
Maria gave him a brief smile in return.
"Dat is two days at Warp Seven." Munich said. "WIth da warp engines off line we need to..." He seemed to want to sit in a chair and saw which one he was in front of and hesitated. "Munich to Engineering. "Ve are two days at warp seven from our past position. How long do you think..." He was speaking slower as he wanted to control his accent. "it vill take to get the engines running and what do you think will be our best speed?" He requested of the department. "Get me the estimates as quickly as possible." He hoped the answer would not include the fact the ship might need dry docks to get anything over warp two?"
"Bridge, I'll have the Chief get you that information as soon as he gets back. Computers are down right now and I don't have a calculator."
"I do not notice any red lights on the Helm Console with the Impulse Engines." Munich managed to say in a real calm tone. "Point the front in the direction of our destination and make best speed." He nod to the helm.
