[OLD]

"She's proud, she's overcome a lot to get to where she is and the last thing she wants to admit is she is nothing more then a drug addict. Perhaps she doesn't trust you either. No offense Commodore York but I'm fairly positive Alexandra had that same sentiment, then again there weren't many she did trust. As for Amarylis, doctor Barak seems to have her trust. Not that I have any real say but I would recommend he continue." He began to pace once again as he continued to ponder the situation. He let out a sigh looking to the ceiling. "That being said, I've seen the reports from her superiors. Apparantly one Master Sergeant Bosley is looking to have charges filed once she is competent. I also noted when the team returned, Amarylis was unaccounted for. The question you need to be asking Samantha and perhaps you too Doctor Barak is where did she go?"

[NEW]

"They trusted me enough to tell me about Morat," Sam said. "And if Amarylis refuses to cooperate then she is going to face charges for her actions. I cannot condone disobeying a direct order. A violation that could have led to war against the very planets were were negotiating with."

"Wait what? Hold on Commodore. Amarylis and Alexandra told you of Morat? The information was not given by Admiral Hunter?" Jethro asked. The situation was growing more perplexing the more he learned. Alexandra left the Calypso, without word but trusted her with details on Morat? Amarylis spoke of the same yet would not address her past? None of this made any sense to him.

"No. Admiral Hunter has been too busy with the Night Star to tell me much of anything," Sam informed him. "It would appear you are not as cognizant of the situation as you believe." She hadn't mentioned Morat to Jethro before because he had refused to tell her anything and it was something she was not at liberty to talk about. Unfortunately, Jethro managed to get under her skin.

"The Night Star? You're kidding. Morat and Stryfe at the same time?" Jethro rubbing his chin before he flashed a smirk. "Commodore you seem to have a knack for finding the fleet's worst skeletons. I wouldn't wish those two on my worst enemies." He sighed running his hand through his hair. "What I have Commodore, is the fact that my daughter was killed by Cardassian mercenaries. The fact, that my other daughter is using drugs again and the fact that until now no one has informed me of your knowledge of Morat. Four people, four in Starfleet know what happened that day to varying degrees and one is dead. The penalty for breach of security is treason Commodore. So please forgive me if I haven't been exactly forthcoming with details."

He began to pace once again. His back was now facing York. "What did they tell you? Maybe I can fill in some of the details for you." He did not care the doctor was in the room. The cat was out of the bag and this had gone on long enough. it was time for these people to know what they were dealing with.

Fine. If he wanted the truth, Sam would give it to him. "I know that while Alexandra was undercover she was imprisoned and tortured by Gul Morat. Amarylis found her and rescued her. Morat has a vendetta against both of them. She has a mole in Starfleet Command who first brought her up before a Court Martial to throw her out of Starfleet. When that failed, he tried to remove Alexandra as XO. When I refused the transfer, a woman from Personnel tried to have her transferred to a medical facility so she could receive proper treatment. That, too, was denied. It was then that Alexandra died. Morat tortured a family on my ship and a woman who looked like Alexandra to leave us a message. I believe she -- through her mole in Starfleet -- sent several spies to my ship. I've found three so far, but I know there are more."

"Twelve days..." Jethro said solemnly. "She was in that prison for twelve days before Amarylis found her. She pleaded with the CO to go down. How could he say no? If anyone was dedicated to bring her back it was Amarylis." jethro paused as he struggled to keep his composure. The images still haunted him and talking about that day still brought him to tears. "They found her in a room naked, whipped, bleeding and nearly hypothermic.....but when Amarylis did find her, she smiled." He placed his hand over his mouth, back still turned to York.

"Did you know that the Marine Amarylis found in Alexandra's quarters had been tortured and left there to remind Amarylis of what happened? The Marine resembles Alexandra."

Jethro nodded his head. "A message indeed. Morat will never let Amarylis forget that day until the day she dies and into the afterlife if possible. The message was most likely meant as a 'greeting' to Amarylis. " Jethro's fist clenched. "I'm truly sorry your crew got dragged into this."

"The point is that we ARE in this. Morat is not just targeting your daughters, she is going after my crew. For that reason we cannot be kept in the dark. She's not going to walk away just because we don't know what is going on."
