Jayna stopped by Security to let them know about Remy's plans and to let them know she would be around to coordinate with them so they would be in the loop. She couldn't tell them everything, couldn't risk having them inadvertently get in the way and cause Stryfe to run before Horus found him. So she carefully told them what they needed to know and promised to keep them apprised of the situation as conditions warranted. She also made sure Kayte was protected and kept safe from Stryfe's revenge. If the Caitian could get on the ship undetected, so could someone else in Stryfe's employ. That took longer than she'd expected, but in the end both she and Kela were satisfied with the arrangements.

She next went to the Horus to make sure it was ready to go. She wasn't sure if Logan got her message, so to keep him from getting in trouble with Remy if he hadn't, she decided to double check herself.

Logan was good at his job, and conscientious, so she was pleased to see that the Horus was ready to go.

Certain that neither Remy nor Logan would be back for a while, she took the time to go to her little room in the corner of the ship and clear out everything that belonged to her as she planned on leaving as soon as Remy and Loan returned from a successful venture. She had no doubt it would be successful. They were both very good at their jobs and with Hunter and the Horus, they wouldn't fail.

She took her time gathering the personal items she'd left here, each one with some memory of Logan. Then she checked and double-checked that everything that was hers was gone. Satisfied that she had everything, she returned to the main room. "Horus?"

"Yes, Jayna?" the ship answered.

"Three days after you return to the Calypso with the Night Star, deliver a message to Logan."

"Why can you not deliver it yourself?" the ship asked.

"Please, just do as I ask."

"Very well. What message would you like me to deliver?"

"Tell him..." Her voice broke and she had to pause to regain her composure. "Tell him that I love him. And that I will never stop loving him, or missing him."

"Then why are you going?"

Her voice was raw with suppressed anguish as she spoke. "I guess because we come from different worlds and he doesn't understand what I'm trying to say," she admitted. "I can't stay with someone who sees the worst in everything I say or do. I tried to tell him what I meant, I tried to explain, but it only made matters worse. And so, I have to go. It's breaking my heart to leave him, but it's breaking my heart to stay, too."

"I do not understand."

"I know. I'm sorry." She wiped the tears from her face and adjusted her bundle. "Take care of them, Horus. Keep them safe." With that, she hurried off the ship and to her quarters. As soon as Logan and Remy left on the Horus, she would pack the rest of her personal things. Now all she had to do was figure out where she would go. Unfortunately, no where would be far enough to outrun her pain.
