"This did seem vindictive." Spartacus took note of the woman's aura; the slightly darkening of her hues yet a bibrant flat color to it. She was angry and it showed in her aura. "So what was I dragged into; why would the SYndicate target the crew of a Federation Vessel aside from you ruining their operations or killing some of their hgher level hunchmen? Spartacus did not like to hear that this ship had hostilities with the Syndicate, she knew that 'organization' far too well and feared it for good reason. "Should I sleep with a knife under my pillow?"

[NEW]

"Probably not. This is the second time we've encountered this syndicate. The first time was when a ship Damon was taking back to the Calypso was hijacked and the crew used as slave labor. Long story short, a number of the crew ended up in the same labor camp. When we left the mine was destroyed and all the prisoners liberated. This last attack was in revenge of that incident. I'm hoping this is the last time we deal with this particular group."

"You are more confidant than I." SPartacus said solemly. "I-I was trained as a part of that Sydicate; athe concepts and methods are standard, and if yo burned them they will seek vengence until it is their destruction or the target." Spartacus shook her head. "But then even a Filthy Ferengi will know when 'too much lost profit means dropping a project.' She nod. But how are you handling the aftermath?" Spartacus asked honestly. "If you want I can help with the 'letters home' and take some of that pressure if you like?"

Sam shook her head. "Thank you, but it's important that the families hear from me directly. And I need to be the one to tell them what happened." She paused for a moment before continuing. "I know how the Syndicate works. But I still hope that the person behind this will realize that he's losing face as well as profit and will cut his losses. But if he doesn't, then I am ready to confront him again."

"I would like to stay on the ship if you do not mind?" SPartacus said with a reserved smile. "I mean it was bad enough as soon as I came aboard I was taken as a slave again... seems like I am destin to do that. Been one three times now; two after becoming a Federation citizen." She looked up to Sam. "I feel safer on the ship than facing the Syndicate again, I-I am already a not well liked Orion in those circles, luckily they did not see my identifying marks or it could have been worst. "I will be there for you ma'am but only from safety of the ship as I know what they are capable of and it scares the Hell out of me."

"You are most welcome on the Calypso," Sam assured her. "And if we do have to face the head of this particular syndicate, you are more than welcome to stay on board. I will deal with him, if I have to."

"I am sorry ma'am, all my life prior to the Federation I was scared of them; it was perpetuated and that fear has been lodged in me ever since." She appeared ashamed of her admission, her Heritage as a Betazoid she tried not to project the deep rooted fear across, te fact she was taught quite harshly to fear the Syndicate is something she is constantly dealing with.

"Don't worry about it," Sam assured her. "We all have our demons. Now that we have a Chaplin on board, perhaps you can talk to him and see if he can help you with yours?" It was entirely up to Teenah, as Sam wasn't going to make it an order. "If you'd rather deal with this on your own, that's fine, too."

"Sparta Rule: A friendly ear takes away most of the pain." Spartacus reply. "At least we will know who counsils the counselor." She made light of it while expressing her desire to follow the advice. "Any Demons you care to tell me about Ma'am?" Spartacus winked. "I am told I have a friendly ear; or so they say in my evaluations thus far."

"Perhaps another time." Sam wasn't fond of sharing her demons with anyone but Damon. "Is there anything I can do for you?" she asked.

"You gave me a position on your ship that I love and ..." SHe smiled brightly. "Quarters that I do not have to sacrifice my projects with my wardrobe." Her eyes had a sparkle. "Thank you for the family quarters, ESHa and I thank you for your kindness. If ever you want somethig customized or altered to complement you for those special occasions you need only ask."

"ESha?" Sam asked. "Who is ESHa?" The Calypso was a large ship. There was plenty of room for Spartacus to have family quarters. Sam was secretly amused that the Orion had such a large wardrobe.

"Emergency Seamstress Hologram alpha unit." Spartacus smiled when she thought of ESHa. "SHe tailors my clothes, listens to me and helps around the quarters." Spartacus had a sentimental expression that projected that there was more to ESHa than just a hologram. "She is my best and longest standing friend."

Sam raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Fascinating. I'll have to meet her some time. If there's ever a time I need to dress up, I'll definitely ask for her services."

Sam smiled again. "I'm glad you're okay. Introduce yourself to Commander Vance and meet some of the crew. I'm sure your services will be needed before long."

"I am glad." Spartacus said with a smile. "You know how a girl hates to be left waiting for an appointment?" SHe winked and started to leave. *I will see you soon Samantha* She projected on the way out.
