OLD
It was torture all right, the anti-heritage drugs pumped into the atmosphere had affected her all right, no one had really cared about a small Slave Girl being a bit cold; her name mattered nothing since she is new and all she had was a stolen torch on low setting under her blanket to keep away the darkness at least. She could only wait until he had put though the numbers she gave it would at least cause some confusion and need to be checked at the very least. That would mean Sickbay as it had the right equipment and drugs to help her.

Nate came up to the Ops point and asked one of the other officers to give up his terminal for a moment.
"Wait your turn, Shy guy!" he grumbled back. "I'm Busy!"
"I wish you wouldn't call me that!" Nathaniel muttered back. "This is important, one of the girls is not well."
"Let the nurses treat her when things calm down."
"No! She'll disturb the others. Besides if I can check this up, you could be holding a Starfleet officer in with the other girls. Do you want the possibility of that?" Nate countered.
"Be quick, I have things to do!" the other officer grunted, vacating the seat.
Nathaniel took up the seat and brought up the interface; entering the ID quite quickly. It came up with a picture that was close to the mark and a notation saying that she was deceased. As he looked into the record the other officer piped up.
"I think you are fresh out of luck and in over your head, it says this girl is dead; Shy Guy, check the morgue mate."
He looked into the records a bit further ignoring his colleague. There was a bright red medical notation: Allergic to Anti-pheromone treatment. Has own regimen of treatment, strictly do not use standard treatments with this patient.
"There! I'm sure it's her now! This girl is really cold, sluggish. That has to be a reaction, that HAS to be it!" Nathaniel almost jumped up. He opened up a comm link, reaching outside the ship to one source that would stand strong for him.
"You're clutching at straws, mate! Give it up Shy guy and let me have my panel back!"
"This is important, I'm busy now and YOU are being VERY rude, wait your turn! Or I'll get Munich involved." Jacobs replied in a flat tone that suggested no arguments while he waited for the connection. The other officer went to protest but thought better of it at the mention of the Ops Chief. The connection picked up to the sight of a Star base sickbay.
"Base 723, Station Infirmary; Nurse Jacobs here." came the almost automatic response. "Nathaniel! What are you doing calling at this hour?! I thought you were on duty." His mother queried. "Is something wrong?"
"Hi mum, I am on shift but I have something to run past you. I'm sure you are one to understand that time can be of the essence here. I have a young Orion girl that has been in a confinement area that has had Anti pheromone treatment pumped into it. I need to know what the allergic symptoms could be like for her...'
"In case it's too much and you have to isolate her. That's a good call. The whole premise of the treatment is to drop the body temp enough that the pheromone can't be produced. For some Orion's it drops too much, it becomes like a fever in reverse. We can't get too hot or we start to shut down, she can't get too cold. How bad is it?"
"She's seriously cold to the touch. Keeps complaining it's cold and seems a bit sluggish." he replied and saw the look in the eyes of his mother.
"If it drops too far it'll be like hypothermia, seriously bad news for her. You need to get her out of there NOW. Isolate her in sickbay, get her treated for any injuries and isolate her in quarters. If you can arrange it, give her a really hot bath to bring her temp up, on her own. It needs to be gradual, no big shocks, Nate. Why go to so much trouble for her?"
"There's a good possibility that she's a Starfleet Officer." he replied gently.
"We'll talk later hun, go. Go get in touch with your Chief and go rescue the girl. It could be touch and go if it gets left too long. Take care, love you." The channel closed and Nathaniel stepped off the Ops panel and stepped far enough away. He tapped the comm badge, this would not be an easy call but would be worth it.
=^= Jacobs to Munich, sorry to disturb you but I believe I have a problem that needs your attention.=^=
=^= Munich here, what can I do for you Mr. Jacobs?" Munich had a strong German accent but spoke clearly enough for all to understand. =^= It must be important for you to call during this shift?=^=
=^= There is one Orion girl that is not faring so well. I believe she may be having a reaction the the Anti-pheromone treatment. I went in to check on her as she was not reacting well to lights out. She gave me an ID and 'dropped' the name of the CO. I checked the ID on the system, did we happen to misplace our counselor?=^=
"Miss Spartacus was the name I recall, but that is hard as she was said to be killed." Munich answered. "I think if she is having a reaction we naturally need to get her to Triage, but have a scan of her done to assure you are not falling for any tricks Mr. Jacobs. Report to me personally of the results as the Commodore was not happy about her loss, seems she was killed for no reason."
=^= Understood sir, I'll get her there shortly. Again sorry to disturb you sir. =^=
=I^= I respect due diligence Mr. Jacobs, please have the young woman transferred to medical, I will get clearances and you should have no trouble from this point out.=^=
=^= Thank you sir, just doing my duty sit. Jacobs out =^=
Nathaniel made his way back over to the holding area and to where the rather cold Orion girl was. Teenah, that's what the records said her name was. Teenah Spartacus, a counselor. This could be very interesting, if it didn't backfire on him. He gave a nod to the guard and was let in.
"Hi there, looks like we are going to triage." he said taking off his jacket and placing the communicator to his tunic. "I hope this will help you feel a bit warmer, miss Spartacus? I'd say it's time we got you looked at and all warmed up." He offered her an arm to escort her out. "We'll probably have the guard with us till we make it to Triage."
"Thank you Nathaniel..." She said with a genuine grin, pointing the torch so he could lead her out. "Anywhere warmer and well illuminated would be preferred." Her body hurt as the last of the adrenaline from the whole ordeal was fading, the injuries and suppressing of what she felt had taken a toll, she leaned into this man more as she walked, the fact she was always cold had taken a lot out of her. "You have a Kind aura." She finally look him straight in the eyes. "It shines through after all, you did very well for me and I do thank you... I w-will make it up to you..."
"A Kind aura..... make it up to me?" he muttered to himself. "I was just doing my duty, my mother taught me to be more of a gentleman; you do your job right, look after those in your care and everything will work out." He was actually surprised that he could have a conversation with this girl. Normally he couldn't get out a sentence without blushing or tripping over his own tongue.
"Thank you for not tainting your aura with the usual thoughts when an Orion female says that..." She grinned a little in relief.
"Usual thoughts?" he blushed a little. *She really is beautiful, so she's Orion but that doesn't mean she should be treated like a second class citizen.* "Every girl deserves to be treated like a lady and have a Prince that just might worship the ground she walks on. So, you may be Orion but that doesn't mean you deserve any less." he replied without really thinking. The guard stopped them right before entering the passage to Triage.
"The girls are not supposed to leave this area."
"She is in need of treatment and we have approval from Chief Munich." He replied, rather officially and almost a little annoyed. "Allergy to the 'treatment', serious case."
"Ah, I got word through about that, so she's the transfer. Proceed, the guard stays will you till you make it into Triage and she is confirmed as a non-threat'."
It was a small bi to be escorted, The Slave Girl felt cold despite her being in a place she knew was warmer or at least of a controlled condition and her feeling cold is not a good sign. She noticed the guard was close behind, his aura was not one she wanted to look at; he was gazing upon her like most men did. His aura was typical for a man near an Orion. She liked that Mr. Jacobs had put an arm around her; it was a kind gesture and his warmth did feel better as their auras touched.
The burly guard wanted to draw the weapon, he did not trust Orions and his emotional projections verified that. It is not her place to judge yet she felt a bit under scrutiny from that guard, he did not want her outside the cage.
"Keerp moving, we cannot have her relaxing in the corridors, orders are to get her to Triage right away, carry her if needed."
"I hurt and been a bit battered from not being able to stand around with a phaser on my hip and a hand resting on it. Damn vulgar things, phasers and such." The Slave Girl hissed.
"Sorry about that, sometimes the Security boys are a bit insensitive."
"Guards like their vulgar weapons, nature of the beast you might say." Slave Girl noted.
