Location: the woods
Timeline: huh?

The man looked up at the sky the bright lights had risen to a higher peak in the sky. It was starting to get hot and sweat dripped off his body as he worked the whole was only big enough for one man to be in it at a time. To work and dig the other had a pulley system to haul dirt up and out of the way. It was hard work but the two of them worked together quite well. It looked almost complete except for the spikes that had to have poison added to them and to be placed. It was a cruel way to die but the poison he used hit the blood stream and would run rapidly to the heart and almost instantly kill someone. "Ok, lower those spikes and be careful, you don't want to tough the ends of them." The man grunted in response and lowered a spike one by one while his partner carefully placed them the correct way and then carefully started to crawl out of the hole He slid and nicked his calf on one of the spikes. It did not feel like it had injured him so he did not take any antidote. His partner helped pull him out and they set the place to be hidden from view with vines, branches and a bunch of dead leaves. The two moved on to the next location. The second man watched as his partner died in the bottom of the second hole. He left him there and covered it up like the first and moved back to the rest. He had two poisoned spears with him. He did not think they looked deadly so he touched one with his finger. Soon he too was dead.

Gaia had a fire prepared to heat water. Supplies had run low and now she was out with Jenna gathering grains and other edible perishables. The two did not speak as they work. It felt natural to the both of them to work side by side and yet say nothing to one another. The two had heard that there were fights among those that had come and partaken of her food. Now there were two groups, one vicious and violent and then there was the group that she knew that she had come with. In either case most of the people would starve if they did not find more to eat or escape from this place. They walked into the woods looking for mushrooms. The two separated and Jenna went one direction and Gaia another.

Little did Jenna know that only hours before but one of the smugglers had finished digging a hole and had put long pointed vicious spikes in it. They had some sort of poison on the tips of them. The hole was shallow enough for a man to climb out of but that wasn't the problem as Jenna soon found out. She walked along, bent over to pick some mushrooms and stood to stretch. She looked up at the sky and took a step or two backwards and slid into the pit. The javelins there skewered her thigh and midsection but she was able to pull herself free and although the damage was intensive it wasn't what was the worst the worse part about it was the poison that ran through her rapidly to her heart and killed her almost instantaneously.
