Location: Somewhre out there...

[CONTINUED]

[OLD]

"That's not much incentive, is it?" Mordu replied, nervously.

"I beg to differ. You see, it could either be quick and painless. Or slow and painful. You keep stalling, I might just pick option 2 out of spite." Damion answered softly, speaking in a tone that almost came off as scary. He kept his disruptor aimed at him and motioned it towards the back room. "Let's go make that call. Shall we?"

[NEW]

Mordu looked at him, swallowing hard again as he turned around slowly. "I prefer to make my calls in private."

"I know about your hidden comm in the back room. I even know how to activate it. Thing is, you've always had it voice coded and your the only one who can use it so, despite my best efforts, I still need your help."

"How did you even know about that?" Mordu question as he stopped in front of the door. "Have we met before?"

"In another life. Now MOVE." Damion replied in an angry tone as he moved forward and nudged Mordu a bit. "You can still use the comm without a leg." He stopped at the doorway, watching Mordu as he called out to Ronnie. "Lets go, Wanda. Make sure the door is locked and grab the disruptor under the counter. Your gonna need it."

Ronnie secured the door and darkened the glass to signify the place was closed. Then she grabbed the disruptor and followed Damion.

All three walked into the back room, which served as his inspection area and office for most of his deals. "Go right for the conn, Mordu. Don't even think about going for the phaser you hide at your work table."

Mordu walked passed the table and right to his desk, against the back wall. "You seem to know a lot about this place."

"Like I said, Mordu. This isn't our first meeting."

"You wouldn't happen to be a certain Chief Intelligence Officer who killed his Executive Officer while escaping a court martial, are you?" Mordu said as he sat down at his desk.

Damion smirked slightly as he turned to look at Ronnie, then back to Mordu. He took a step forward, placing the disruptor against the back of his head. "You don't know anything, Mordu."

"Information is valuable, Wolfe.. or do you want to stick with Jake?" Mordu moved his hand slowly under the edge of the desk and pushed in a small button. Slowly two sections of the wall began to move and there was several monitors, one had a list of various items and locations and another showed the inside of the store area which rotated from one to another, showing different angles. "I hope you know, this might take a while. There is no telling where your old shipmate's will be by now."

"Do you like Elvis, Mordu?" Damion seemed to blurt out almost randomly.

"Elvis? That old singer from the 20th century. They play his songs on the oldies station often." Mordu answered slowly, a bit confused by the question.

"He has a song I like. It's called A Little Less Conversation." Damion smirked and nudged the end of the disruptor against Mordu's head and tilted his head slightly, his smirked growing a bit sinister. "There is a line in it that goes "A little less conversation, a little more action please. All this aggravation ain't satisfactioning me. You understand what I am getting at, Mordu?"

Mordu felt the disruptor against his head and cleared his throat a bit. "Yes, I do." He started to tap on the console at his desk. "You must me, Lieutenant Lancaster. Am I right? The one his kidnapped? I am guessing you were all part of his escape. You know, he is only going to get you killed. Your better off leaving while you can-"

Damion nudged the disruptor against his head again. "Stop talking, Mordu and work."

Ronnie moved out of visual range of the comm station and pointed her disruptor at Mordu. "Name's Wanda."

"Alright. We can go with that, for now." Mordu said as he tapped on the console and brought up a map of the sector. "Let me scan and see if I can find the Night Shade."

"How do you expect to find and ship that can't be found?" Damion asked, raising his brow slightly.

"Same way I always have, Jake. Stryfe has a special transponder that I gave him. For when I need to give him an urgent heads up on certain activity he should be made aware of. I just send the signal out in certain sections and wait for a response." Mordu said calmly as he tapped away at the console.

"So, Jake, what should we do while we wait? Play poker?" Her eyes stayed locked on Mordu. "Do you play? Five card stud? Texas Hold'em? Blackjack?"

"Poker. If I remember, thats your game, Jake. You had a game every weekend with your old shipmates. If I remember it was you, the Efrosian, The Caitian, and your Andorian friends. Well I guess your short one Andorian, aren't you?" Mordu said as he looked up at the screen.

Damion got angry as he put his arm around his neck and placed the disruptor against Mordu's temple. "Keep talking, Mordu. Keep talking and let's see how far my patience goes." He let out a bit of a growl and pressed the tip of the disruptor a bit harder against his head.

"I believe I struck a nerve." Mordu replied with a smile.

"You think?" Damion answered hastily.

Ronnie grabbed Damion's arm and squeezed hard. "If you want to find this guy, you have to back off, Jake." She was beginning to think they weren't going to get out of this business alive because Jake was too reactionary for his own good -- and hers.

She turned to Mordu, her disruptor still in her other hand. "I'm saving your life, you owe me. Now, let's sit down and wait, okay? Maybe we can play Blackjack or something to pass the time."
