Mission: Tabula Rasa
ON
The team of defenders waited for the main body to get away from the compound and then they huddled together and began to plan how to retake it.
"Alright ladies and gentlemen, we have a group of organized and experienced foes on our hands who somehow have armed themselves with explosives and bows. I suspect this group is not our captors but may somehow be affiliated with them. If possible it would be beneficial for us to take a prisoner for information, however your lives are more important and thus if you feel you have no other option you shoot to kill. I will assign groups when we descend upon the camp. Once we succeed we will consolidate whatever resources remain at the camp and return to Samantha's group.
Questions?" Alexandra asked as she looked around upon the team assembled to repel their unwelcome guests.
Kara shook her head. "No questions. I volunteer to take a group around to their flank."
Tom growled softly. "Where do you need me?"
"Go with Kara, we will need a group with good skills on the flank." Alexandra responded.
Tom nodded and headed to the dark-haired woman.
"I'll go with you." Amarylis replied with a grunt as she limped over to Kara.
Kara nodded. She looked around for Cam, wondering if he'd be in her group of if he'd take another.
A woman had a panicked look on her face as she tried to run through he crowd. She frantically search for her daughter. She opened her mouth but no words came out, her voice was raw from screaming the girls name over and over.
"Hey hey hey whoa." Alexandra said walking over to the woman motioning her hands in a calming manner. She gently gripped the woman by the shoulders looking into her frightened tearful eyes. "What can I do for you?"
"My daughter she is missing." the woman said and she snuffed her nose.
Sterling said very little. There wasn't much to say. He stayed near Alexandra and the terrified woman, biding his time and looking around for danger.
"Everyone was supposed to be out of the compound," Maria said. "Those malditos are killing everyone they find."
"Then we shall have to show them the same courtesy." Alexandra replied. "Sterling, myself and Maria will go up the middle and try to distract them, make us seem threatening. Kara you take your guys and flank them, be as silent as possible until you get close, we don't have the luxury of firearms but they do. Range is their advantage, surprise is ours. We eliminate their advantage and we take back our camp. Let's move out."
Sterling nodded, "Good plan, its about time we started kicking ass and taking names."
Maria picked a staff and hid the others for later use, then followed Alexandra.
Kara nodded to her team and took a different route.
[[Compound]]
"Nineteen." Lucas exclaimed as he took down what appeared to be the last of the stragglers leaving the compound.
"Looks like I win buddy, last kill takes it."
Devon raised his hand above his head. "Listen." he said with a sinister smile looking around him. He looked over to a dense bush against a building slowly walking over to it. He stopped only inches from it and looking down upon it before thrusting his hand into it.
"HA!" he said removing his hand and a little girl from the bush, his hand grasped tightly around her hair as she kicked and screamed trying to get free.
"PLEASE LET ME GO, I WANT MY MOMMY LET ME GO!" she wailed.
Devon laughed as he continued to resist her struggle. In less than a heartbeat later Devon had removed a knife from his belt and slit the child's neck. Her screams were replaced by the squirting of blood as she instantly hit the ground.
"Twenty."
[Flank]
Kara led her small team silently around the compound, making sure she was far enough away to not be seen or heard as she positioned her team behind the invaders. She heard a child scream and feared it was the lost little girl, then there was silence. Her expression grew grim. "Capture them if you can, but if not, kill every one of them."
"Yes Ma'am." some one replied and started to search for someone to either capture or kill.
[Middle]
Alexandra let the team near the main entrance of the compound ensuring they were not seen until they were ready. She soon caught sight of the bandits torching the shelters the group had built.
"Alright guys, it's time to make some noise. Keep your heads down." she said looking to the group ensuring they understood.
With a snarky smile she got up and looked towards the bandits. "Hey you! Come get some!"
Devon looked over to the woman with the outstretched hand beckoning him forward. She was unarmed and a little too arrogant, he would soon fix that.
"Gladly..."
Sterling gave a wry smile. He hated what these men were doing, their callous disregard for life and he intended to show them no quarter and to take no prisoners. He waited for Devon to get closer. He didn't have a weapon, having laid his bow down, but he didn't need one. He was very good in martial arts. He remembered that much.
[Grass]
Mojo itched his hand it felt infected but he ignored it. He peered through the grass and waited quiet as a mouse before he made his move. It did not seem quite right yet but he prepared to spring.
