Mission: Falling Star
Location: Paradise City, Nimbus III

ON:

The shuttle touched down in the old ruins of Nimbus III. Not that far from the colony known as Paradise City. The city has come a long way after the war against Federation, Klingons, and Romulan Empire. It has since become a refuge for the desperate and the depraved. A city where Federation Law is scarce, but not nonexistent. This is the city that Damion is hoping will provide them with the door to Captain Stryfe.

He shut down the shuttle and got out of the chair, looking over to Ronnie with a slight sigh as he stood up. "Come on, Ronnie. Time to gear up." He said, reluctantly as he started to make his way to the back of the shuttle. He wasn't sure about Ronnie coming alone, but leaving her behind had its own risks. If he was going to try and convince Stryfe that Ronnie wasn't just a hostage, but an ally, he had to start it here. Damion had to make sure Stryfe's contact saw Ronnie helping him. So now he had to instruct her on how to play intimidating.

Ronnie followed Damion a little reluctantly. "I'm not sure I can pretend to be like you," she said. "I'm not the type. I can't hurt people on purpose."

"Hopefully, you wont have to." Damion commented back as he approached a large metallic cabinet with a touchpad on one of the doors. He looked over to her with a smirk and continued. "Believe me. If this guy is as annoying as he was back when I was on the Night Star, you wont have to worry about finding a reason to hurt him. He'll give you plenty." He tapped onto the touchpad quickly, inputting a code he gotten in a message from Max he found in the system when Ronnie was in the bed, sleeping and thinking it over.

The touchpad get a quick tone, followed by several light clicks. The doors opened and inside was an array of weapons and gadgets commonly used by some intel field agents. He paused slightly. Most of this he hadn't seen before. I scared him slightly that Max would keep such an arsenal on his shuttle at all times. It was said that he was a man who was prepared for every different kind of mission, but this seemed a bit much.

Then he caught something out of the corner of his eyes. Something familiar to him. Something he used often. As he turned his head he noticed the detail, the finish, and its slight dings and dents. It couldn't be. Damion thought as he reached his hands over and picked up the TR-116. Would Max go so far as to get Damion's own original TR-116. The same one he swore he put away, never to use again. So many memories. So many unwanted memories. He raised it slightly a piered through the scope. Her sights were just as he left it. It was his weapon. It was Jenny.

Ronnie watched him, once again wondering what she was doing here. He was so comfortable in this environment and she felt like a fish out of water.

Damion cleared his throat slightly and put the strap of his neck and shoulder. He then adjusted it so the rifle rested against his back. "Feel free to grab what you can." Damion said out loud as he looked over to Ronnie. "Anything that your familiar with and can easily be concealed. Don't forget to use the industrial replicator over there. Its sent for clothes. There are some preset outfits, and if you want something specific, put in your measurements and what you want and it should do the rest. Be sure to pack something to help against the hot sun and to keep the sand out of your face, we have a ways to go on foot before we get to Paradise City."

"How am I supposed to know what to ask for?" She found a good-sized knife and a small disruptor. Then she replicated herself some non-Starfleet clothes that would blend in to most environments. She changed quickly and strapped the knife and disruptor to her belt, then added a boot knife for good measure.

He paused slightly and took down a klingon disruptor and a wrist band that had small blades tucked into it. "Don't let the name fool you. Its not all that friendly. Its filled with some pretty sleazy people. Keep your eyes and ears open. They will try to take advantage of you if you let them. Stay close to me. There are stories of this place being a front for the Orion Syndicate. Dealing in buy and selling illegal merchandise. And people. People used to say they would grab people off the streets and there were never any witnesses because they were all afraid to talk."

"Or they didn't care because they were into illegal dealings themselves. Fun places you hang out in, Damion."

"I was still young back then. Stryfe took me under his wing and taught me how to use all this to your advantage. Use it to hide. To work. To gather intel. Sometimes, if the case called for it, letting the small fish go to catch the bigger one." He walked over to the replicator and tapped in what he needed. "I was promised this would be the last time I would have to sink this low, and I plan to keep it that way. It's sad to say but sometimes, only sometimes, I do tend to enjoy working like this. But then the more I like it, the more my mind tends to slip into that dark place I try to keep away. And the lines between right and wrong. Moral and Immoral. Legal and Illegal. It all starts blurring and I turn into the thing I hate the most."

Ronnie didn't know what to say to that. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him. "I'm here and I'll do what I can to help you not become that man. Just remember that I love you and we'll be okay."

"Let's get going. If we make it in time we can show up as he closes." Damion nodded then wrapped his head and covered his face in a black cloth to keep the sand out of his mouth. He stood there in a long and black robe which held hide his weapons.

She watched him dress and then went to the replicator and added a black headdress to keep out the sun and sand and a robe to protect the rest of her. More importantly, it matched Damion's wardrobe.
When she was done she nodded to Damion. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be. Let's go."
