Mission: What Dreams May Come?
Location: Corridor, USS Calypso

ON:

Amarylis walked through the corridors of the Calypso gripping a cup of coffee. She was still restless from the pirates on the holodeck and of course her concern for Alexandra had not subsided.

Look what you've done Amarylis

Yes, look what you have done Amarylis

Amarylis looked around the corridor for the sources of the voices but could not see anyone or anything.

"Hello?" Amarylis called out.

You killed her Amarylis.

MURDERER!

"Hey who is that?" Amarylis exclaimed looking around. She had no idea what the voices were talking about, perhaps echoes from the past? Amarylis had killed before but each was justified she had no regrets for any of them.

Her blood is on your hands Sergeant.

So much blood!

"What are you talking about?!" Amarylis asked sternly.

"Come now Amarylis, you can't honestly believe you can lie to me...we've been together for so long." Came Alexandra's voice from behind her.

She turned to Vance. "Alex..er..Commander Vance. I'm sorry I don't know what you mean." Amarylis replied quizzically raising a brow.

"You know EXACTLY what I mean Sergeant Beckinsale. There is no deception here I can hear your every thought." Vance replied as she began to circle Amarylis.

"You may be good but you are no betazoid Alexandra. I think you need to go to sickbay."

Vance disappeared from before Amarylis. "Oh really? Do you suppose they can fix this?" Vance replied once again from behind Amarylis.

She turned to face Alexandra. This time Commander Vance was not in her standard uniform, but rather a black jump suit torn to pieces. Blood was seeping down from each laceration, this was a scene all to familiar.

"Oh my god, Alex what have you done to yourself?" Amarylis went to tap her commbadge but it was not there.

"Me? I think you should be asking what you have done sergeant." Vance replied circling her again. Drops of blood fell from her limbs to the deck.

"Morat did this to you, you know it and I know it." Amarylis replied following Vance.

"Is that how you comfort yourself? Then tell me this Amarylis..." Vance disappeared once again.

Suddenly a hand grabbed Amarylis' shoulder and spun her around violently. "Did Morat do this?" The lacerations were now replaced with Borg implants. Her skin tone was pale and her stare cold and emotionless.

"No Alexandra, the borg did that."

"Incorrect again dear Sergeant. The Cardassians nor the Borg are to blame.....you Sergeant, you murdered me."

"Excuse me? I SAVED you TWICE Commander." Amarylis replied angrily.

Alexandra laughed. "Saved? No you did not save me, you condemned me to a life of nightmares contained within an empty shell. You could have let me die, but instead you have forced me walk amongst others in constant pain and sorrow. You have forced me to live in a nightmare I cannot wake from and here you call yourself a saviour? My guardian angel? You are a farce Sergeant. I owe you nothing..."

"That's not true Alex, you just need some time you'll come around. Stop this now." Amarylis replied visibly upset by this abhoritions words.

"Is that because you do not want it to be true? Is that because you are so selfish you hold your conscience above your so called friends? Couldn't stand to let something go now could you? We couldn't have you grieving now could we?"

"STOP IT, you are NOT Alexandra!" Amarylis stated walking away frustrated.

Vance appeared in front of Amarylis appearing akin to what Amarylis had seen the last time she had seen her. "No Amarylis....I'm your worst nightmare."

Amarylis fell to the floor hit with a sudden force that pushed her off her feet.

"I'm sorry Miss, I am so clumsy please forgive me." A man's voice said.

Amarylis startled by the hit studied her uniform noting it was soaked with coffee. She looked up to see a man holding his hand out offering her assistance to get up.

Amarylis quickly rose and rushed away down the corridor.
