Mission: A Pirate's Life
ON
=== The Brig ===
Damion sat on the bench in the brig looking down at the ground. He knew what was coming next and was more concerned about making sure his part was played to key. He knew the distance between here and Shuttlebay one. He knew the codes to open the shuttlebay doors and the amount of time it takes to charge phasers, lock torpedoes, and disable the Cerberus. With all the power problems as of late, it might give him more of a chance, but what he was concerned about now was Ronnie.
He was going to involved her. In an attempt to safe his relationship and to explain everything that was going on, he was going to throw her into the middle of all this. Damion would certainly get an earful, but a part of him felt that her skills would be more useful with him on his mission. He wanted more importantly to get them back together and locking them in a shuttle with no where to go will at least get them talking at one point. Hopefully, anyway.
===ShuttleBay One===
Vance swiftly left Main Engineering calling for a team of security officers as she rushed to meet with Damion and Max in the shuttle bay. She took four new officers briefing them earlier to ensure they would not interfere in what was about to transpire. With a combined experience of less than a year on the Calypso they would fall easily and most likely wake up with no recollection of what had happened.
Vance tapped her commbadge. =^=Vance to Lieutenant Lancaster, if you wish to bid farewell to Lieutenant Wolfe, meet us in shuttle bay one.=^=
What did she mean, bid farewell to Lieutenant Wolfe? Science was secure and Khalpek was in charge, so Ronnie hurrie to the shuttle bay.
Entering the shuttle bay, Vance checked to ensure no one was present in the room. She had spoken with the shuttle bay manager earlier and requested the meeting remain private, besides she did not trust the curious greenhorn engineers around Max's Type 11 shuttle. One of them may have ended up seeing something they were not supposed to. Then Alexandra would have the unfortunate task of disposing of them.
Vance indicated to the officers were she wanted them placed, close proximity to her vulnerable to attack. It would be easy pickings for Mister Wolfe.
Damion was escorted by Max and his security guards, Shepard and Kingsley. Both of them were apprised of the situation and were ready the moment it all started. They were monitored the whole way there, so they couldn't show any signs of nervousness or that they were aware of what was going on.
As they entered shuttlebay one, he took a moment to look at the Cerberus. She was just like a Type 11 shuttle, but there was more then meets the eye when it came to her. He heard rumor's about it, all of which he couldn't believe. How it had a full blown armor, a cloaking device, its phasers and torpedoes were more advanced then any startships, and how it could read warp 10. All of these were probably more unimaginable now that he looked at it from the outside, but knowing Max he couldn't help but wonder some of it was true.
As they came to a stop a few feet away from the shuttle he stood there and looked around. He wanted to make sure there would be nothing to change the plan. As Max walked up to him, they shared a look as he check his hands and uniform for any concealed weapons. "No Ronnie?" He added with disappointment as he looked around with a soft sigh, looking to Vance and then to Max.
"Lieutenant Lancaster was given the choice, Lieutenant. Unlike you, she picked her career over her personal feelings." Max added with a slight hint of anger as he took a step back and looked to Vance with a nod signaling he was clean.
Damion looked over to Vance with a stern and cold look. "If something happens to her, while I am gone, I'll come back here very unhappy." He said in a soft voice, keeping his eyes trained on her.
"The crew of the Calypso is of my concern now and not yours. You must concentrate on what you have to do; it is time you let go of your feelings for Lieutenant Lancaster...For her sake and yours. " Vance replied equalling his tone.
"I'll put that on your grave, Commander." Damion replied softly, narrowing his eyes slightly at her.
"Careful Wolfe. Your not helping yourself." Max replied.
"I'm done hold back, Old Man." Damion said as he looked over to him with cold eyes.
"It's ok Max, I am quite capable of handling myself." she said holding her hand up to him before turning back to Damion. "Because you see Mister Wolfe, I have heard those words countless times before uttered from countless beings whom believed themselves superior to me; and each time I watched someone else carve their tombstones, yours will be no different." Vance smirked as she stared coldly into his eyes purposefully firing the man up. She needed this to look real.
Ronnie walked quickly into the shuttle bay, wondering why Damion was leaving and where he was going. There were several guards present she didn't recognize. They weren't the usual ones that worked in the brig -- not that she spent much time in the brig, but she had stopped by to see how Damion was doing. However, she generally stopped by when he was asleep as she still wasn't sure what to say to him.
Damion, Commander Vance and an Admiral from Intel were arguing near a private shuttle. Whatever was going on, it didn't look good. Ronnie took a less-direct path around a shuttle to see if she could get closer to the conversation without making things worse. Maybe, if she could get close enough to Damion, she could keep him from doing or saying something to get himself in more trouble.
