Mission: A Pirate's Life
[CONTINUED]
[OLD]
Damion stood there looking at her and then sighed. "Medication." He said, knowing full well it was a lie but he had to tell her something. "Starfleet Medical had to cook up a new batch. My body got used to the one I was on already and it didn't work as well. I have to deal with how I was acting and now I am atoning for it." He slowly held his hand out to her, hoping she would take it. "You mean everything to me, Ronnie. You know what. One day I am hoping I won't need this anymore and we can settle down somewhere and have a life together."
[NEW]
Ronnie reached out her hand to Damion,but at his last words she stopped. "We can't have a life together here?" she asked, wondering if he really meant that they could only be together if he got control of his moods and retired from Starfleet.
He felt her reluctants and looked at her with a tilted head. "Ronnie. I want to be with you. You know that. It doesn't matter where we settle as long as its together." He lowered his hand a bit, disappointingly. "I need you, Baby." He took a step to her, but was pulled back by the security officer. Damion shrugged his shoulder and pulled away from the officer. "Hands Off!" He stood there, looking at him sternly but slowly calm himself afterwards. "I'm sorry." He looked back over to Ronnie. "I'm sorry.. Its just. You know I want to be close to you like we were. I wish you could look me in the eye and could tell that I am being honest with you."
"Damion, I want to believe you..." she said hesitantly. "But with the way you've been acting lately, I'm not sure who you are anymore." She longed for the old Damion, the one she could talk to and laugh with. This one was angry all the time and she wasn't sure how to deal with it.
Damion looked down for a moment. He thought about what she said. He thought about telling her the truth right there, but Damion knew what he would be risking in order to do it. He looked back up and ran his hand through his hair. "I'm the same man, Ronnie. I just wish you could see it. I just wish you could see past this to the truth. I guess I expected more." He walked away from slowly, adjusting his suit as he walked.
Ronnie desperately wanted Damion to hold her and tell her everything was going to be okay. She wished everything WAS okay. But how could she see past the anger and the accusations? How could he be the same man she'd fallen in love with and still say what he did?
She could understand a little how he felt when the Colonel got on his case, but she couldn't justify how he treated HER at the time. So she watched him walk away, feeling like her heart was breaking.
Robert walked on to the halo deck wearing black set of loose pant's and a black jacket that barely touched the ground wearing no shirt so ever one could see the scar's
Robert was still wondering if it was alright for him to be here. I mean minus the the promotion of the new CO he did not know the old one CO. So being here made him fell out of place
so he decided to get into the crow nest and watch the festivity's form there .
==Main Bridge, USS Calypso==
Alexandra sat in the centre chair staring blankly at the black view screen. Her mind was inattentive to the quiet bridge around her as most of the staff were on the holodeck attending the funeral of the former Marine Commanding Officer Major Leo Mangalia. She had chosen not to attend the funeral. Officially the reasoning was the ship required a senior officer to oversee the operations whilst the others attended the funeral. Unofficially, well first she wanted no part of a pirate ship, she had her share of sea voyages to last a life time. The only memories of sea was watching Lieutenant Gibbs and Newstrom argue and receiving multiple lessons from them on information that really did not matter. It is also where she first met Boris Aleksandrov. An insane yet remarkable officer who proved to have a natural leadership talent.....and of course there was Commander Allwood. Perhaps the bravest officer she had ever had the honour of serving next to.
Attending the funeral would only serve to cause her pain, not only for what she had done but for a crew and a ship she missed so dearly. She could not bring herself to face that pain just yet.
