Mission:
The Race for the Lost Treasure
Location: Marine Department
Timeline: Before the Mission of The Race for the Lost Treasure

After visiting sickbay to give them his medical information to bypass the physical exam, Heulinu Zhap left that place to head over to meet and visit the marine department. He assumes that it may not be easy to meet new faces. He has some doubts of what to expect because some marines can be tough to have a conversation with. He doesn't have a problem discussing situations, but he hopes that the superiors have better personalities. Boot camp was the hardest school he has ever faced with screaming platoon leaders and if you say something small, they blow it out of proportion to make things feel embarrassing. He learned to keep most things to himself while he was serving the worse leader.
Heulinu took a deep breath before he entered the barracks of the marine department with a PADD in his hand. He glanced around, seeing lockers to exercise equipment to displays of rifles to one wall, making the place feel like a recreation area. Seeing a closed door, he walked up to it and hit the chime button. While he waited, he straightened his uniform.
Leo walked up behind the unknown Marine and looked around. "Can I help you son?" Leo asked wondering where the spiffy green horn had come from. "I don't remember ordering the replicator to spit out another grunt..."
He turned around quickly. After seeing the man's rank, his back straightened as stiff as a board, and saluted. "Yes, sir. I was looking for the person in charge of the marine department. I'm a corpsman...transferring to this ship", he said with an accent.
"Well Corpsman," Leo said with a smile. "What is it you want me to do? Give you a cookie?" The Marine seemed a little over zealous. "Or do you want to start training some Combat Life Savers?"
Seeing that this Captain was not serious, Heulinu relaxed and gave out a chuckle. He put a hand out, "I'm Heulinu Zhap. Everybody calls me Henry, sir. This," he handed him a PADD, "is my transfer papers. I would like to know my new shift to start duty. I haven't had an interview with Doctor Bowen over my creditials, yet."
"I'm not worried about Credentials. They don't fly with me. The only ones I need are seeing you on a battlefield. So what brings you to our neck of the woods Henry?" Leo was surprised that the man had figured that he was joking. Usually, it took a bit.
Noelle walked in just as Leo finished his statement. She nodded to the two men "Afternoon. I see we have fresh blood." She said lightly and extended her hand to the Corpsman "2nd Lt Noelle Ghassen." She said watching Leo for a moment.
Henry gave a smile as he extended his hand to the female marine, "Heulinu Zhap...Henry for short...corpsman. How do you do, ma'am?" He glanced at the Captain, "I see myself as a soldier medic and was transferred from USS Constellation. I assume Starfleet wanted me here because you don't have a corpsman?"
"No, we just didn't have any that were higher than Private," Leo said looking at the collar. "So you have a little more time on duty Corporal, which is a good thing." Looking over he smiled at Noelle. "Hey, when do you want the new guy to come play with us? Or do we give him a day off?"
"Day off...we're Marines...we don't need no stinking time off. He comes to play now." She said her brown eyes dancing with merriment.
Henry looked over at the woman, wondering what the answer is. He had a few things on his agenda that needed to be done before he came on duty, and didn't expect to start till tomorrow. But, superiors do rule over his agenda, which can be done at a later time.
Noelle looked at Leo to see if he agreed. She was looking over the PaDD that was on her desk as her brow furrowed. She made a mental note to take care of what was on there later. She turned her attention back to Leo and Henry. "Have you gotten yourself settled in your quarters? Visited with medical and counseling?" Noelle asked.
"He's got a meeting with the CMO when they have time," Leo said with a shrug. "And he can begin this afternoon after chow. He'll need to receive a weapon, his medical supplies and a spot on watch. I'll take the weapon portion."
"My new quarters...yes, ma'am. From here, I'm going back to sickbay to get the medical and counseling out of the way, so I can be free," he said, looking from Noelle to Leo. "I'm sure the CMO will give me the necessary medical supplies that I need to keep on hand, sir. May I be excused, Captain?"
"Go on ahead Corporal. You'll be on duty during Alpha Shift," Leo said shrugging. "And you'll come find me before you go anywhere."
"I'll take care of getting you a weapon and your medical supplies." Noelle said looking at Leo and Zhap and making a note on the PaDD she was holding in her hand. She finished and stood with her hands behind her back and waited for any other orders that might need to be carried out.
Leo nodded and looked at the Corpsman. "Get some rest and be ready for PT and everything else tomorrow Corporal. Lieutenant, have a good night."
