Mission: The Race for the Lost Treasure
Location: Morgana's Quarters

Morgana lay on her bunk, flipping through a PADD. She was bored. These people were being very cautious with her. Right now, all she wanted was to get out of her room and wander about the ship because she was going stir crazy. And because she wanted to find out what they had found on the planet.

Kirk was heard screeching in another room and then the sound of shattering glass. The monkey let out another screech, which could only be described like a laugh and then ran out of the room with a small trinket that look valuable. He sprang up from the floor and leaped into her lap, looking up at her with a smile as he stood up slowly and straight. He put his hands together as he looked at her with those mischievous eyes. Kirk let out a soft coo as he held his hand up to Morgana, handing her the shiny trinket and awaited for her approval.

She took the trinket that looked like it belonged to one of the bathroom fixtures and smiled. "Look what you found, Kirk. You're a very clever monkey."

Kirk brought his hands back together and then slowly tilted his head as he smiled at her. He let out another coo before he straightened back up and looked around the room. He was bored now. He found his way around the room and saw nothing really of interest. With a soft huff he plopped back down onto her lap and then looked down.

"Me, too." She pulled out a bunch of sweet dates she'd replicated earlier and handed them to Kirk. "This will occupy you for a few minutes."

"Computer, send a message to the Captain. Tell her I want to get out of here."

"There are five messages waiting for the Captain. Do you wish to add another?"

"No. Nevermind, computer." She looked at Kirk. "Why isn't the Captain in her office answering messages?"

Kirk grabbed the date and began to eat away at it. It wasn't long before he had gone through the first one in no time. As soon as he heard the computer respond to Morgana's question he looked up and around, almost expecting another body to be there, his cheeks slightly puffy from the food in his mouth. Kirk swallowed and then looked up at Morgana and heard the slight disappointment in her voice. The monkey stood up and screeched loudly as he threw a half eaten date at the computer console where the voice came from. The monkey let out a soft and not so intimidating growl at the voice that made Morgana upset.

Sophia stood in the corridor, about to press the chime, when she heard the shattering and screeching. She was really afraid of what might be going on, but she was ordered her, so she touched the button anyway.

Soon as Kirk heard the chime go off he cuddled up against her. The sound caught him off guard.

"Come in," Morgana said, chuckling. "And don't worry. Kirk is feeling a little cooped up."

Sophia stepped through the door and smiled kindly. "I am the ship's counselor, Lieutenant Sophia. I have been asked to stop by and have a chat with you. Is now a good time?"

"I'm not going anywhere," Morgana replied, her tone a little frustrated. "Nothing against you, mind. I'm tired of being cooped up in this prison they call a room."

Sophia walked over and gestured toward one of the chairs. "No offense taken. Mind if I sit down?"

"Go right ahead. I'm Morgana. This is Kirk. Do you want to ask me why I was on the shuttle, too?"

Kirk looked over to Sophia and began to get a bit edgy. He didn't like Klingons. With a screech he threw a date at her and then leaped off of Morgana's lap and onto her shoulders. He let out a growl and then bit into a date, his tail wrapped around Morgana's arm a tightened, so she knew he was scared.

Morgana gently lifted Kirk off her shoulder and cuddled him. "It's okay," she crooned to the monkey. In the same soft voice she addressed the counselor. "Apparently Kirk is afraid of Klingons. Sorry."

"Not a problem. I'm used to it." Sophia said. "As for the shuttle, I assume that question has been asked and answered sufficiently. I am here just to do a basic evaluation. To try to get a read on you as a person."

"Well, according to your chief of security, I'm lying, but that's something I wish to take up with your CO," Morgana said, still talking softly and cuddling Kirk. "So, what would you like to ask me?"

"Well, Even you have to admit that your presence here is more than a little suspect. Can you give me a reason that we should trust your account of recent events?"

"My shuttle gets attacked and I'm suspect?" Morgana asked.

"Not suspect, but some of your story just doesn't add up. Some details just seem a little too convenient."

"Like what?" she asked the counselor.

"Well, let's start with the fact that you claim to be fired on by a vastly superior force, but your shuttle not only survived, but managed to take less then expected damage."

"I WAS fired on. I was in a shuttle. I was afraid that if I fired back they'd blow me out of space. So I ran. Whoever claimed I said vastly superior is lying."

"I never said that anyone claimed that you said this or that. I was using the phrase of my own volition. I apologize for any confusion. Forgiving my phrasing, you were firing on by a larger and more powerful vessel, irregardless of the adjectives, and managed to survive with insignificant damage to your shuttle."

"See? Not returning fire saved my life."

Sophia nodded slowly, "And they just let you go?"

"No. You rescued me," Morgana corrected. "To be honest, I don't know what they wanted -- you didn't give them the chance to ask.
