New Crew and Academy

Please join me in giving a warm Orion welcome to the following new crew members:

Lieutenant (JG) Samantha York, Chief Science Officer
Ensign Tharek Getal, Security Investigations Officer

Our Orion family is growing nicely but if you know of anyone else... you know what to do!

In other news, I'd like to hear from each member of the crew as to whether on not you've completed the cadet acadamy at any point in your previous Obsidian Fleet career. It's a valuable experience to improve your simming performance but if you ask to go (or are sent) on a course it's really important that you finish it as I don't want Orion to be in the Instructors bad books from the first students!

For more experienced simmers there are specialty courses available too.

Thats all for now, shortly we will be going aboard the ship and our first proper mission will be announced. In the future though, I'm hoping that missions will be drawn from the ideas of the whole crew because It's as much your ship as it is mine, plus collectively you can come up with far better ideas than me!
