Mission: The Race for the Lost Treasure

Jourdan walked into the Calypso's engineering room and looked around. She spotted the man she wanted to talk to. Walking upto him she noticed he was a Romulan.
"Interesting" she thought as she stepped closer to him.
"Excuse me" she said looking up at him.

Marek turned around from talking to his buddy Mak, they were working on something together, and he looked at the woman in front of him. "Yes," he spied her rank, "Lieutenant..." He added prompting her to introduce herself.

"Hi, I'm the new chief of engineering. I've heard your the assistant, can you give me a lowdown on whats been happening?" Jourdan asked.

Marek wondered why he was not asked if he would like the chief position but then again the Captain could have been told 'your new chief engineer is on her way,' and so he smiled at Jourdan, "Welcome aboard ma'am. Yes I am your assistant; well we are in the process of investigating this planet's government as there is a rebel faction who claim that the government took over unjustly and security as well as intelligence is looking into the whole thing." He said.

"Good good" Jourdan said. "Right, the captain wants a small sample of technology beamed up so we can have a closer look"

Why didn't he think to do that on his own... He knew it was on the list of standard procedures, though it was a very long list so Marek knew he would have forgotten something. "Ah yes, did you want to do the honors?" He gestured to her.

"Go ahead" Jourdan said with a smile letting him lead the way.
