Marek, Kyt and Lumina had been checked over by a doctor and declared virus free, but just to be safe they were still in quarantine awaiting the results of a more detailed blood analysis.
Samantha was eager to learn what happened to Kyt and why this woman had returned with them.
She walked into the quarantine area and stood outside theforce field. "I'm Captain York," she said to Lumina.
"Lumina Maralena," the woman replied. "My brother was a member of the government -- before the usurpers killed him and the others." She began to explain what she knew of the virus, the rise to power of one of the more mercenary gangs, and the formation of the resistance.
"Do you have proof?" Sam asked her.
Lumina nodded. "It's hidden, but I can get it for you." She looked at the other two. "Or give you directions to beam it up," she added hesitantly.
Sam nodded and turned to the other two. "What happened?" she asked quietly.
"They kidnapped me and I'm assuming Lieutenant Kyt here from the camp then they asked us for help, Captain." Marek said.
Sam looked from Lumina to Marek. "They kidnapped you and then asked you for help"
"Well, I couldn't have him blunder into someplace he didn't belong. So I had my friend drug him and we carried him inside. That way he couldn't find his way back in once we let him go," Lumina said with a shrug. It made perfect sense to her.
"Drug? I got hit over the back of the head, with what felt like a shovel." Kyt muttered, with a scowl.
"I had nothing to do with that. Bilbo brought you in," Lumina replied.
"Oh he won't be around much longer to regret it," Marek laughed as he looked to Kyt hoping she would return a nod or some kind of approval.
Kyt simply smiled.
"We'll prefer changes with the government -- when we figure out what that is," Sam replied. "Now, Miss Maralena, from the beginning, if you please."
