Randy sighed in relief, after having watched as they pulled the satellite inside the ship. "Phoenix, let's go back to where we started at, and get some high resolution scans of the area." With that said, he immediately turned his fighter around, and headed back to the initial scan area.

"Roger, Iceheart," Talia said, following close behind and again taking up her wingman position.

The first hours after having discovered the satellite went by slowly, nothing really stuck out to Randy, at least nothing that looked important.

"Phoenix, have you picked up anything on your scans?"

"There's a large complex to the North. Nothing really stands out, except it's in the middle of nowhere," Talia replied. "Maybe we should give it a closer look?"

Randy took a closer look at the area she was indicating. "I agree. We should take a closer look."

The other team of pilots had been silent for a while as they, too, scanned the planet. At least, until now.

"Hobbes to Iceheart. The scans of the planet I'm getting are very...inconsistent." He said once in range of the other fighters. "A lot of this data doesn't fit what we know of these people."

"Doesn't fit how?" Talia asked over the comlink.

"Well," The Caitian started "their manufacturing district is powered by some really weird stuff, as an example. So far we have encountered 19 completely different types of reactors with completely different designs in every case. There is no consistency here at all. One of those designs is damn near archaic."

"Send the data to the Calypso and continue scanning, Hobbes. Phoenix out."

Talia continued her scan of the planet, but while she did, she looked through her data to see if it matched that of Hobbes. There wasn't as wide a range of technology, but it was far too varied for her peace of mind. She, too, sent her data to the Calypso and continued following Iceheart to the Northern complex.

It seemed to be a military facility of some sort. The technology was high, for this planet. Concrete bunkers, hovercars, manned turrets. Talia scanned the facility in all spectrum to see what was inside.

Crates of various supplies. Some was biological, some metal. Why would there be guards around a bunch of supplies? Especially with the planet in such dire straits? "Icehart, could this be a pirate stronghold?"

"I don't know, but I think that we should take a closer look."

Talia continued to scan, then sent the data to the Calypso for analysis. "That place bears a closer look. Anything else we need to check or should we head back to the ship?"

Randy sat there for a moment. "Calvin, Hobbes, head back to the Calypso, and give the data from your scans to the appropriate personnel. Phoenix, you're with me. I want one close-range scan, and then we will be joining the rest of our team."

"Understood." S'rrin replied. "Heading back now." He was close enough to his wingman that he simply raised his hand in the cockpit and twirled it to indicate the change in course. Calvin responded immediately by following tight on his wing as they adjusted course and headed back to the Calypso.
