Mission: Peace, or Something Like It
Location: Rigel IV

"Maestro?" The Orion woman asked softly.

The man turned.

"Uhm, sir..." She said, sounding rather disturbed.

"WHAT IS IT?" Maestro demanded.

"Uhm... The Federation ship..." She said.

Maestro rolled his eyes. "Let me guess. In true interloper fashion, the f'drext'la dogs have, in the course of a few short days, rescued their captured crew members, uncovered that it was not, actually, an Alliance attack that resulted in their kidnap, stopped the Grand Marshall from irradiating the entire interior of the planet's surface, procured at least one of the Telepathic assistance devices, and destroyed our Orion operatives in the area?"

She shook her head.

"They have done some of that. Our Orion operatives in the area survive, and while they have, indeed, collected one of the devices, they do not yet know what it does." The Orion woman noted.

"Damn them. Call the Orion vessel back." Maestro said.

"Where?" The woman asked.

"Here. I'd like to have the pleasure of killing the incompetent fools, myself. Never trust a leader who refuses to dirty his own hands." Maestro said.

The woman nodded. "As you wish sir, but may this one point out that it is her family, which you are threatening to slaughter?"

A gesture with his right arm activated a device in his tunic's right sleeve, which deposited a very small disruptor into his hand.

He aimed it at the woman without a thought. "Let me make a few things clear. I own you, and your father, and his ship. By order of the order, you were to complete a specific mission. Your father failed. You have, up to this point, served me well. Provided you do not repeat the mistake you just made, by daring to insinuate that your father, in the slightest bit, matters to the order, me, or now, you, I will permit you to continue existing. Do not think I can not replace you. It is not so hard, as you seem to think."

The woman nodded. "This one offers an apology. This one did not mean to offend."

The man nodded. "Confined to quarters, upon draft of your message. It will not be sent immediately. I will have it scanned for suspicious code, and have the syntax scanned. After your little slip-up, I want to make sure your father does not know he is heading to his final destination."

The woman nodded. "This one is here to serve."

"Get out. Get it written up. We will discuss matters further, after your father returns." Maestro said with a nod.

"Recall notice?" The Orion Captain asked.

The science Officer nodded. "Decrypted properly. No hidden messages. Just an order to return to Rigel IV for our next mission. This one is apparently being disregarded, after Starfleet stepped in to interfere."

The Orion Captain nodded. "It will be good to see my daughter again."

The science Officer nodded once more. "A port of call will also be useful for crew morale. It seems to be rather... deceased, as of late."
