After she had managed to insult James and make him leave she felt down a lot. It had been a draining day. She just wanted it to be over. She wondered over to the office hoping to find a doctor in the office.
Doctor Leanne Bowen stood up from her desk as somebody entered. "Can I help you?"
Morgan nodded. "Yes...I have some cuts I need you to look at if at all possible." Morgan responded to the doctor. She felt foolish but she had do it.
She noticed the superficial wounds on her face when the lady entered her office. Leanne approached her, putting her hand on her back to give her a compassionate touch. "Let's get get you fixed up...I'm going to need you to go take a seat on an empty biobed." She followed her out of her office and went over to retrieve the tricorder. Just as she opened it, she asked, "What happened?"
Morgan nodded. She followed the doctor over to the empty bio-bed and she took a seat on it facing the doctor. Her feet were hanging off the bed. She chuckled lightly as the doctor had asked her what happened. "Well, you can say I was being diplomatic."
Leanne nodded as she moved the tricoder over her face for less than a minute before she closed it. "Not too deep which is good. Sit tight, I'll be right back." She left Morgan to the other side of the room, retrieving a dermal regenerator and a sterile gauze. When she returned, she smiled at her. "Okay. Let's get that cleaned up. So, how things in engineering?"
Morgan chuckled to herself as the doctor began working on her cuts. "Operations actually, and things have been rather hectic the past few days. Ever since the Commander went missing we haven't had much free time. I think we all have earned some well deserved shore leave time."
While she listened, Doctor Bowen used the gauze to wipe the dried blood around her face, lip and above her right eye brow. Then, she picked up the instrument and used it to seal the open wounds. "That's good. When is the last time you had a physical?"
"It's been a while doctor, but honestly I don't think I have time for one right now." Morgan protested. She honestly didn't want to get a physical done but she knew how the doctors worked so she was ready for the worst.
"Okay, I'll give you up to two weeks to get it done," Leanne said as she put the instrument down on a near-by tray. "Your cuts are gone, so you are all set."
She was surprised to find out that the doctor wasn't going to force her to get a physical done. She smiled and nodded. "Thank you doctor, I appreciate it."
"Not a problem, Lieutenant." Leanne stepped back a little to give her room to remove herself from the biobed. "I hope to see you stop by for the physical. Have a good day..."
"You too, doctor." Morgan jumped off the bed and left sickbay.
The doctor watched her leave and she went back to catching up some paperwork.
