After Lieutenant Tovan and Lumiya left, Jason went over to check on Commander Karma Sinclair. He shook his head, feeling bad for the Commander to be in a coma state. He noted that his vital signs are stable for now. And the Captain is missing..., he thought as he stared at the Commander's closed eyes.
"It's pathetic of the situation we are in."
Doctor Hart turned to look at his nurse who spoke. He was surprised to see that Barbara Tarango has returned to duty. "Yeah, I know. So, how you feeling?"
"Better I hope."
"I've sent off a sample of your blood to my old professor who deals with virology and hopefully get some answers to this virus. I'm sure you must be in a remission."
Seeing his concerned eyes, she gave a smile. "Just a little tired, but I can manage. I've had my rest, doing light duty here, and using sedatives for my headaches. Everything else is good. So, how is the Commander doing?"
"Same. The Cardiac arrest put his brain into a coma state, so I don't know how much damage has been done. It takes awhile to find answers," Jason looked over at the Commander.
Barbara shook her head, "Shame. So, where is Doctor Bowen?"
He turned his head to look at her. "She was sent to her quarters to rest. She has been ill too with the same virus you had."
"Oh, dear. I was hoping that nobody catches this...well, what has been done, has been done. Is there some work that needs to be done?"
"Yes and it would be easier work for you," he picked up a PADD and touched a button, handing it to her. "Lab works that needs to be done on the Commander. But, don't be on your feet too long. Rather you are in remission or not, this virus can re-emerge. So, take it easy, nurse."
"Alright, doctor." She accepted the PADD and walked away from him to retrieve the hypospray to draw blood from the Commander.
Jason went over to a viewscreen and touched for information on Lumiya. He reads her vitals that appear to be in the normal range. Her heart rate has slightly increased and he figured that it is her emotions of either being upset or mad because of being kidnapped or fear of being in a different environment. It was not a cause to be alarmed yet...
