ON

As soon as Ronnie was cleared, she headed to her quarters to see Damion and Elsa. She'd missed them terribly, even though she tried not to let it interfere with her work. Or, in this case, keep her from doing what she needed to do to keep her wits about her and get back to the ship.

As soon as the door opened, she looked for her family.

Damion heard the door open, recognizing the familiar 'swish' of the sliding doors, knowing someone was there. Since there was no chime to announce anyone, and only one other person was allowed access, it could only mean one thing. He got up from his chair and walked over to the crib, picking up Elsa gently, smiling as he did so.

"Guess whose home, Kiddo?" He whispered softly as she cooed in response. Damion cradled her in his arms and made his way out of the bedroom, stopping immediately when he saw Ronnie. He smiled formed on his face, as he resisted the urge to run over to her because of Elsa, so he only replied in a calm voice. "Fun time?"

"Peachy." She grinned, happy to see the two people who meant the most to her. She took Elsa out of his arms and gave her a hug, then, she shipped her into one arm so she could give her husband a proper hello. She wrapped her free arm around him and buried her face in his chest. "I'm so happy to be back."

"Not as happy as I am." Damion replied with a smile.

"Mmm. That's debatable." She was happy staying where she was, but Elsa wanted attention and began to squirm.

Ronnie stepped back to hug her girl. "Hi, Princess."

Damion smiled as he took a step back, watching her with a smile, as he let out a sigh of relief. Many ways this could have ended and it ended the best way possible. While he had complete confidence York would get her friend out there was still a part of him that had to prepare for the worst-case scenario.

Ronnie took his hand and went over to the couch so she could sit down. "I think I'll just stay here for a while. Sam said I can take a few days off if I want."

He walked with her to the couch and soon took a seat next to her. Once they sat down, he put his arm over her shoulder, and leaned down to kiss Elsa on the top of her head. Damion did the same to Ronnie before whispering back. "I would love that very much."

Suddenly Ronnie wanted to cry. She'd been so focused on the mission and getting home that she hadn't let herself worry about Damion and Elsa, but now that she was back, She leaned against her husband, unable to hold back the tears. "It's okay. It's because I'm happy," she assured him.

"I know." He whispered to her, bringing her in a bit closer, as he kissed her head again. "I know, Sweetie. Let it out if you have to. It's okay."

She snuggled closer, taking comfort from him. When she stopped crying, she wiped her eyes. Elsa had fallen asleep. Ronnie chuckled softly. "Right now, I'll take this as a good thing because I want to spend some time with you," she told her husband.

"I'm not going to scold you for going off an doing your job. Lord knows I've done it countless times to you so I shouldn't talk, but we need to remember we're parents now." Damion said softly as he held her close to him. "Maybe, its time, to start handing down some things to people underneath us?"

"That was supposed to be a two-hour quick look. I didn't expect to be kidnapped," she countered, standing slowly to put Elsa back in her bed. "With a new chief on board, I'll be able to stay behind more. I won't need to go on an away team unless they need an entomologist."

"Honey..." Damion said as he stood up from the couch. "I didn't bring it up to start a fight. I know this situation wasn't supposed to end up the way it did. All I am saying is that, unless it requires our immediate attention, we should consider delegating our workload for Elsa's sake. And possibly for each other."

She came back into the room and put a hand on his chest. "I know, and I agree. This was...unique. If I'd suspected it would take longer, I would have sent Maria, but I have to admit, I was curious about that pyramid." She smiled. "In future, I will spend more time here. With you."

Damion took her hand in his before kissing her fingertips. "I don't know what I would do if I lost you, Ronnie. You're the other half of my heart. My guiding light. I'd be lost without you."

She looked at him for a long moment. "And you're mine. You and Elsa are my world, and I wouldn't have it any other way." She kissed him gently. "I missed you, even though I wasn't gone long, I don't like to be away from you."

Ronnie hugged both Damion and Elsa for several long minutes. "Come on," she said to her husband. "Let's read Elsa a few stories. If she falls asleep, we'll let her. If not, we can activate the holonanny for a bit. Mommy wants a little alone time with Daddy." She smiled and led the way into Elsa's bedroom. It was very good to be home.
