325 words; about a 2 minute read

Mission: Food for the Gods
Location: Cooridors/ Newmark quarters
Timeline: After Baby Blues

ON

The running had always helped him clear his head; Newmark ran through te corridors; lower decks so not as much foot traffic, the added need to pay attention so not to run full bore into someone helped he concentrate and not be lost in his thoughts too deeply. The physical exertion was also a factor in getting his temper to lessen. He would do the full Five kilometre run to the end. He knew how many of his strides it would take; he had a mental count of the strides he had taken thus far and the remainder of his run ticking down with each step.

Obsession is a word; overprotective and several other words came to mind. He knew his wife is intelligent; that was not a question but there is no cure for not using that intellect in a wise manner. Newmark loved his daughter and the stories of what she does wile he is away. The corridor was cool, he was adjusting to surroundings but his mind is where things mottled down.

He knew full well why he needed to call the Girls; Nahallia did not seem to agree; the fact remained that His wife was not doing so well and had taken the care of the Baby as her only life work; he had seen the stack of parenting data she sought to follow.

He is sure that he would not be in good standing when he arrived home after this physical activity. Nahallia does have a temper and it seemed contradicting her with the Baby tended to increase that irritability. It was a sad state of events when he had to hand the baby back and leave before he said something he would regret; his meditation techniques out the window if he had. He would run til near exhaustion ; quick shower at the Gym and then collapse into bed.

The Worst Laid Plan... ever.
