"We have a room outside the council chambers you can use," Mrowen said to Jennifer when the others were gone. "Keelan can get you what supplies you need."
"Thank you your majesty." Jennifer said bowing graciously to the monarch. "Your hospitality has been unworldly. Sadly, for now I believe the room is all I will require until I can determine what exactly I can do within the boundaries set by the Commodore."
Mrowen bowed, then turned to Keelan. "Then I will leave her in your care."
"Sir." She addressed Keelan as the King left. "Perhaps you could give me some quick background information on the council? Who they are, what each member's role is and any other pertinent information. I prefer to know my audience before speaking with them."
"Then perhaps you will join me for ... tea is it in your culture?" Keelan said. "To explain while in a public place and in the open is not where one says personal information about our counsil. You are asking for a good explantion and introductive information." He smiled. "That might take a bit so why not be comfortable?" HE suggested as he gestgure to an antechamber off the main room. "I am well aquainted with them all of course so I could answer a lot of your questions but I prefer comfort to the vulgarity of the public ears, I will give you pertinant information that might not be for all ears to hear."
A young Jenefran male stepped into the room. "Excuse me, Your Highness. With your permission, there is a message for the Vizier from one of the guards on the perimeter."
"Please see to our guests comfort." Keelan said with a smile. "I am sure this will only take a moment or two." HE bow slightly. "If you will excuse me; the duties of a Vizier are never quite done." He made his way out of the room wondering what could have come up so soon after things started, he had to get the necessarry information to the Federation people to put them on the trail that would lead them where they had to go."
The Jenfran bowed to Keelan, then turned to Jennifer. "If you will come this way, I will show you to a room where you can work and then I will bring you refreshment."
"Of course, thank you." Jennifer replied politely following the Jenefran.
"Such unfortunate news the disappearance of the princess. The Vizier must be devastated, but I cannot help but admire his courage. He still performs his duties to his people admirably.
"Oh, yes," the young Jenefran said. "It's not every day your intended gets kidnapped on the day of your wedding." He opened the door of a small room at the end of the corridor, stepping back for her to enter first. "Although, word has it she wasn't too keen on the idea."
Interesting Jennifer thought storing the thought for later conversations.
[Corridor not far away.]
"The Federation people are making progress." The guard said quietly. "They have found where it is likely the Princess had been through a hidden pass in the garden." He explained.
"that is good." Keelan replied with a smile. "Be sure to notify our people already in the field and have a contingent to follow the Federation personnel if they venture out." He gave the command in low voice. "STay clear as they do not want out 'interference' so we can be there to intervene should something happen but not hinder their search at the same time."
"Yes Vizier." The guard bow and went to put the orders into action.
"Now to the others," Keelan said as he straightened his robes and ventured back into the antechamber.
The young Jenefran bowed. "If you will excuse me, Vizier, I'll get your refreshment now."
"Thank you." Keelan said with a polite and maybe inviting smile as he took a seat at the table near the Federation Personnel. "Masters of a delicate matter; I appologize for the inturruption, I am now at your service to answer what you wish to know." HE nod as is proper. "TO be of help one has to be open to answer what others need to know for planning to be successful is it not?"
The young Jenefran bowed and left the room while the Vizier spoke.
"Yes of course." Jennifer smiled. "And to that end preparation is most important to my function and as such it is imperative I understand whom I am speaking to. As such, I would ask for your knowledge on the members of the council before I speak with them. Backgrounds, protocols and any other information you may find useful."
"How much time do you have devoted to the answers?" Keelan asked with an surprisingly diplomatic tone. "As I could have the night regaling you with their backgrounds and how they are of service to the King?" He explained. "Or I can give you the very basics on each one and field more of the questions you would have afterward? SHall I start with their name and what purpose they actually serve to begin?"
