Sam raised an eyebrow. She would have to talk with her Chief of Intelligence later about his lack of decorum. "I will not order him, Mr. Batiste. If he does not wish to help us, then I will doubtless find another Intel officer to do the job. I said he would be perfect because I know his abilities, not because he is Caitian."

Before Remy could reply Jennifer would take the opportunity to interject. It didn't take telepathy for her to figure out York was less then pleased with Remy's abrasive comments. Endearing as he was, the situation needed to be defused before either the Commodore or the Jenefrans took offense.

"Lieutenant, if you would please accompany me, I believe it would be prudent for us to get a look at the scene of the crime whilst it is still fresh." She said to Remy.

Drani had silently watched the exchange. They weren't being told the entire story. How could someone from a culture with little to no technology infiltrate an advanced society and kidnap the princess. She concluded two possibilities--either the kidnappers had inside help or the Jenefarian Security was incompetent to say the least. From what she had seen thus far, she doubted the latter option.

Illise rose from her seat, "Your Majesty," she bowed slightly to the King in respect and then looked towards Sam, "Commodore, there is little time to lose. Might we have permission to examine the site of the Princess' abduction?" As she asked her question Illise looked back to the King. "Even the smallest thing could help in the search, and our tricorders may be able to uncover evidence that would otherwise go undetected."

King Mrowen nodded. "Indeed." He looked to Keelan, then back to Illise. "From the report, she was taking a late-night walk in the garden when she was abducted. Please, feel free to look around."

"Perhaps I could interview security personnel who were on duty at the time?" Arnon said. "My son informed me that your security is very good and that someone attempting to breach it would require inside information. If there was a leak, it could have been intentional or it might be that someone said too much in front of the wrong person. Either way, I might be able to determine the truth of the matter and possibly find a link to the kidnappers."

"The Jenefrans would be honored if you could aid in the recovery of Our Princess." Keelan bow. "Her fate and well being are of the highest concern."

"You will have my best effort, Vizier Keelan," Arnon replied.

"For that I thank you." Kelan added.

Damon shifted in his seat. "Assuming the Princess has indeed been abducted, it would have had to be planned to a fine detail. The perpetrators would have needed a detailed schedule of the guard rotations and routes. It would be helpful if we had a copy of last nights schedule to see if there were any paths that might be exploited. It might give us an idea of where they escaped and a direction of where to start looking."

Sam nodded, agreeing with Damon, and looked to the King for a comment.

Mrowen's brow furrowed for a moment, then he nodded. "Yes, I see how that might be of help." He turned to Keelan. "Make it so."

"Yes my King." Keelan said obediantly and quickly. "I will have it before they are back to their ship Your Higness." Keelan kept things diplomatic to a tee.

"Lieutenants Hale and Batiste, see what you can find in the garden. Commander Tate, get all the information you can from the council. I'd like to know what evidence they have to think the Qunari are responsible." She wondered why the Jenefrans were suddenly talking about the Qunari when before they were so reticent to acknowledge them. "Lieutenants Barak and T'Pral, see what security has. Doctor Drani, I'd like to know how we can tell the difference between the Jenefrans and the Qunari. Lieutenant Cross, work with Commander Munich and see if scans can differentiate between the Qunari and the Jenefrans."

She turned to King Mrowen and Keelan. "Could Colonel Raine and I look in the Princess' rooms to see if there are any clues that might help us understand what happened?"

"As long as you take one of her servants with you," Mrowen said.

"Absolutely," Sam replied. It would give her a chance to learn more about the missing princess. She had a lot more questions, but for now, this would suffice.

Sam still needed to find out what Kali had put in the potted plant, and what this war was all about, but for now, she would take it one step at a time. "If you will excuse us, King Mrowen, we'd like to get to work finding your daughter."

The King waved a hand in the air. "You are dismissed. Good luck, Commodore."
