Mission: Revenge

Alexandra exited the ready room making her way up the ramp before stopping at Lieutenant Munich. Before her were two children no older then ten. She grimaced at them before looking to Munich. "Lieutenant, I realize we are short on personnel but I don't believe Starfleet has begun recruiting officers below the age of fifteen. Children don't belong in an operational zone, especially not in a time of crisis."

"Dey brought the communicators from the missing personnel." Munich covered. "They are helping with an investigation, I was just having them give the items to science in hopes there is residue from the Transporter?" Munich pointed out. Transporters are a field of sorts and to filter then badges out from an inclusive field would give a slight power signiture and wavelength, We might tell what major force; Klingons, Romulans, Orions or even the Cardassians by the wavelength. Each technology has a fingerprint same as Federation equipmwent...." He looked towards the Commander. "Might narrow the spectrum if we knew what technology was used?"

"It was Orion Lieutenant. And we have personnel whom could perform such tasks, I don't want any children on my bridge am I clear?" She stated flatly staring at Munich only paying no attention to the children below her.

As per regulations the children shall be leaving." Munich said calmly. "It was easier to have the children; who found them, bring the badges to the bridge and not call personnel from other duties ma'am." Munich bow slightly out of respect. "I apologize for the slight abuse of standing regulations and it will not happen again." He hoped that would cover it.

"Ensure it doesn't. Now if I could have those badges I will deliver them to science myself. I will inform Lieutenant Andrews of the signals origin. You will find the pertinent files in the database. No more wasting time and resources Lieutenant. Find me that ship." she stated clearly agitated and angered.

Once the commbadges were given to her she turned to the turbo lift and departed for science.

Munich had managed to get the kids safely out of trouble. "Okay children, I think you should go back to quarters, I will send someone to check in on you.." He wanted them to know what he was thinking. Something tells me unsupervised I might need to call security for you?" HE joked with a wink. "Now run along before I get in more trouble?"

As soon as Vance was off the bridge, Maria hurried over to Hans. "I'll take them," Maria said. "As I was the one who invited them up here in the first place." She winked at the kids. "I don't think it would be a problem if they had a short, supervised tour of the bridge before going down to science. After all, they did bring us the badges."

Oliver and Olivia had big smiles on their faces, their eyes big as saucers as they 'took it all in' from Maria's tour. They soon finished and went back to their quarters, satisfied and happy.

Maria watched them go with a grin and turned back to her station to perform yet another scan to look for more information on the cloaked ship.

===Science Labs===

"Lieutenant Andrews." Alexandra called out walking towards the woman working at a console. "These commbadges are from members of the crew whom were taken. In the database you will find files that link the Orion syndicate to the transporter technology. I need you and Lieutenant Munich to find me the source, if that ship is Orion I want to know what it is and where it came from."

Andrews spun around to the Commander and took the com badges from her. "Yes Ma'am, we'll get on it right away." She hailed Munich. "If you're logged on, we can coordinate our research."

"Let me know when you find something." Alexandra replied turning back from the science officer to return to the bridge. While her faith in the crew was faltering at best deep down she hoped they would be able to find Samantha before it was too late.

She wasn't exactly thrilled at the thought of commanding the Calypso.

"We should have some results pretty quick." Munich assured. "The interior sensors take in a vast amount of information and we can filter it out; kind of like a scoop of dirt, with a little effort the elements can be separated and studied, we just have to gewt the filters right."

Andrews hunched over her console; spotting something, she tapped her Com badge. "Andrews to Commander Vance. I've found something, maybe not to significant, but all the badges show a 'spike' at the approximate time the person wearing them was 'spirited away."

"Explain." Vance's voice asked over the comm channel.

"It follows the same pattern when the wearer activates his or her commbadge; there is a 'spark' in the communications line , and again when then the person on the other 'end' acticvates their badge by tapping them. Somehow, these people have been able to 'activate' the missing person's com badges, but instead of using them as a form of communication, they are using them to transport these people to their ship. "

"A signal booster...." Vance said her voice trailing off. "They are using our commbadges to amplify their transporter signals. It allows for increased range, that's why we could not detect them. Lieutenant, see if you can trace their warp trails and determine their course and approximate location. I think it is time we bring our friends out of the shadows."
