{Away Team Hopper}
Sam McCarthy was surveying the faces of the other Marines as they reacted to the collision. The veterans amongst them were handling the situation without a fuss, running through their checklists as the Hopper descended rather rapidly. The few newbies were sweating and the stress was evident on their faces, they had been paired with a veteran for their first action and these buddies were now trying to calm them down and get them to concentrate on their training. Sam took it all in her stride, checking over her personal equipment and her sniper rifle before placing it in a padded case.
{Marine Headquarters}
Jethro was listening in to the Away Team's communication in his office when all hell broke loose, jumping up he raced to the Marine Squad Bay, using the Marine Tac Radio to assemble 3 & 4 Sections of 1 Platoon.
As he reached the Squad Bay, several marines came running up to him to ask what was going on. As per usual the Marines on board were all listening in to the Away Teams communications and they had heard most of what was going on. Quietening everybody down as he entered Jethro advised them that the Away Team was indeed in difficulty and they had lost 1 if not both of the Razor Escorts but the Hopper was still intact and no injuries had been reported. He then spoke to the remainder of 1 Platoon and ordered them ready for a possible Zero G Insertion on to the planet.
Turning to the assembled 3 platoon he asked for Artificer volunteers with Zero G training. Almost all of the engineers stepped forward along with the majority of Marines. Dismissing the Marines, Jethro speaking with 3 Platoons Sergeants then picked a Squad of Artificers to accompany him and the remainder of 1 platoon if needed.
After ensuring his Marines were ready, Jethro headed to the Bridge followed closely by Bella.
