On

On the wall of his office a large screen displayed the entire ship, John had been going through every section Meter By Meter. On deck Five he found one... A 'Dead space' behind a Interior bulkhead wall. The space was Four Meters deep and Fifteen Meters long. He down loaded the image to his pad and closed out the screen.

Sheridan was standing in the Structural Superintendents office in Five minutes flat.

He observed that most of the staff were very busy and Was taken to Mr. Garlock The chief structural Engineer for the Orion Re-fit. Garlock was in his late Sixties and a bit overweight, your typical semi-retired contractor. Sheridan could see stubborn written all over his face.

"Hello lieutenant, what can do for you this fine day?"

Sheridan got right to the point and advised Garlock of the Dead area which immediately sent the Engineer into a blind rage...

"How dare you come in here and tell the Chief Engineer how to do his job, shouldn't the lieutenant be out counting beans somewhere?"

John just Smiled and leaned over Garlock's desk. "Let's get something straight you little puffed up piece of waste. Your attempt to cut corners shall not be tolerated on this job. I want this section re-done. Dead space means something can be transported into it, you idiot. You know that, now fix it and fix it quick. As the XO of the Orion I will inspect everything about this ship. I hope I make myself very clear, If I have questions I shall ask them, If I have requests you will do them. Don't make me come back down here or I'll sent a few bored Marines and have them squeeze your wide body out a hatch."

Garlock sat back down in his chair like he'd been stunned. "Yes Sir, I'll take care of this problem immediately."

"See that you do, and I would clean this office up, disorganization makes me nervous."

Sheridan put an evil grin on and walked out. He noticed that all the contractors that were hanging around were gone....
