Mission:
The Race for the Lost Treasure
Location: Various

After looking over the data, Sam decided she needed to send a team back to the planet to explore the underwater caves. There was something odd about them and she wanted a closer look. So she called a team of scientists, an engineer and two Marines to go down and see what they could find.
When the team arrived in the shuttle bay she handed each a PADD. "Here's the information on the underground cave system. The readings we've taken from the ship and the shuttle are inconclusive, which is odd in and of itself. The plants on the surface have proven to contain a chemical that causes a mild dampening field. I don't know if the same plants live underwater as we can't get an accurate reading. So, I'd like you to have a quick look. Don't stay too long as we don't know the danger, but see if there are any signs of civilization. Bring back anything of interest and keep me posted. Any questions?"
Ronnie looked over the PADD and shook her head. "So we're basically going down there to see what we can find, right?"
"Right," Sam replied.
Desiana stood in the middle of the team of scientist that had assembled for this particular away mission. She may have specialized in linguistics but she wasn't going to miss a chance to go planet side. She had hand picked her best biologists and botanists to accompany her. She could assist them in any case. "Captain, have the scans been able to determine any possible contaminates in the water or atmosphere? I just want to be sure that we have the correct specimen containers planet side."
"From what we've gathered so far, the air is harmless and the water appears to be comparable to standard oceans. A slightly higher saline content, but acceptable," Sam replied.
Dezzy turned to her assistant to her right. With a wordless conversation the crewman began making notes on the padd she held in her hand. "in that case the science teams should be ready to go when the remainder of the team is ready to depart, Captain." she added with a respectful nod.
Leo came walking up with a skin tight jumpsuit, and a rifle slung and electrically attached. He was carrying a helmet and smiled. "And who's ready to go diving today?"
Noelle smiled "I haven't been diving in a few years." She said as she walked in with a wetsuit and her own rifle and secured a wicked looking knife to her leg in a sheath "Never know when you'll need something under water." She said.
Ronnie just grinned.
"You can leave as soon as you're ready," Sam instructed.
"Underwater," Mak said excited, he wondered where Daniels was to rub it in his face.
Ronnie grinned at Mak. "Yep. I haven't been scuba diving in a while. This is going to be fun."
Lizzie wasn't so sure how "fun" it would be, but she was looking forward to having a good look at the plants on the surface and underwater.
Ensign Maddison Tyler entered the transporter room, in her normal uniform, as it was used to underwater wear. Her aquatic environmental suit flicked off, and handed it over to her husband, who followed.
"Remember to drink plenty of-" Robert started.
"Damnit, Robert, I might be aquatic, but I'm not a bloody goldfish. I can be trusted to remember to stay hydrated when not underwater." She sat, smacking him upside the back of the head.
"Ouch." Robert exclaimed.
"Now, off you go. Levue said she wanted you to review the-" Maddison started.
"Damnit, Maddison, I might be not aquatic, but I'm not a bloody goldfish. I can be trusted to remember that the Chief wanted me to view the surveillance foot-OUCH!" Robert exclaimed, as Maddison smacked him upside the head again.
Maddison quickly checked her stun-prod launchers, a pair of bolt-gun like devices that fired, in an environment where phasers could not be so easily trusted. Rather than potentially lethal bolts, however, these, instead, launched a bolt-like projectile, which, on impact, exploded into a web of electrified beads, coated in a conductive adhesive. Slung over her shoulder, she had a real bolt gun, in case of more serious issues, and then, of course, there was her, the only member of the crew who knew how to naturally move, and fight, under the water, as it was her own environment. Any aquatic fiend would find themselves on equal fllippers, with her, and any non-aquatic fiend would find themselves on less-than equal footing, with her.
As Robert left, she nodded to the others present. She withdrew a bottle of water, and sipped it, and took a seat, outside the shuttle.
"Hello, Ensign Tyler," Sam said with a nod to the security officer. "Looks like the team's all here," Sam said with a nod. "Good luck." She watched them board the shuttle before she turned and headed back to the bridge.
Leo chuckled as he loaded onto the shuttle, taking a seat in the rear. Marines always got hit first, it was their lot in life. "Fdon't be too hard on him, he obviously loves you," Leo said with a glint in his eye. He didn't laugh often, but it did happen when he found something humerous.
Noelle sat down next to Leo and waited for the take off and subsequent landing.
Maddison nodded. "I know." Maddison said, with a slight smile. "Not every girl would leave the great ocean, for a marine. Neither, would any Marine retire from the corps, and take on Security, to help keep his girl safer. I'm hard on him, because he expects it. He's hard on me, because he wants me to come home in one piece."
Desiana couldn't help but smile as she over heard the Marine's conversation. It wasn't the conversation per say as much as the interactions between the two comrades. The scientist in her couldn't help herself. She looked over at Ronnie Lancaster and the other scientist with her. "Well lets dive in." She couldn't help but enjoy the pun.
Ronnie groaned at the bad pun. "You know what they say, the beauty of a pun is in the 'oy' of the beholder."
