A good natured man and very honorable, sometimes that isn't always a good thing. Doesn't like failure and doesn't accept losing very well. Rarely loses his temper or gets angry, but when he does, let's just say you don't want him angry at you. After his wife died, emotionally unfit for duty and started drinking a lot before getting the necessary help. Tramautized by loss of many officers under his watch during one battle against the Cardassians. Has no love for them. |

| Personal History | Always loved the stars since he first laid eyes on the sky and once he saw how Starfleet worked, there was nothing else he wanted to but move around space. Grew up in Japan as a boy due to his parents working there and did intensive travel around Asia, learning Chinese himself. Always admired different cultures. What really interested him was strategic thinking when he first played chess with his father. This started his love for the subject and studied it as soon as he went into Starfleet. Becoming very well attuned in the subject, he decided to supplement the brain with the body when he started learning how to defend himself by studying various fighting styles such as Krav Maga as he figured he could use his naturally big frame to his advantage. Naturally, a guy with his height and build, being a strategist who is well versed in hand-to-hand combat would certainly give him a heads up in Starfleet, which it did. He rose through the ranks very fast using his abilities and it helped that his good character didn't rub people the wrong way fast tracked his way to a commanding role. He respects his superiors and his peers unconditionally and loves to talk with other officers on his off time sharing stories and picking the brain of how other officers would strategize different scenarios. After his previous ship where he served as the XO was decommisioned after a fatal run-in with the Cardassians, he was asked by a friend in the admiralty of Starfleet Command for a favor; to be temporary mission advisor to the Calypso. |

| Education | 2370 ~ 2375 Attended Starfleet Academy with a focus on Strategic Operations. Graduated 9th in his class, but decided to further his own studies on his own outside of Starfleet for a year before taking a position on a ship. |

| Service Record | 2375 ~ 1.5 years after graduation, Ensign Martin served aboard the USS Herald as a conn officer. 2376 ~ Promoted to Lt. Junior Grade 2377 ~ Promoted to Lieutenant 2380 ~ Promoted to Lt. Cmr. aboard the USS Herald. 2382 ~ Promoted to Commander where he became the 1st Officer of the USS Herald due to the previous XO's death on an away mission. 2383 ~ With the retirement of the captain of the USS Herald, he finally decided to take his own ship, but he didn't want the Herald out of respect to his former captain. He chose to command a defiant class ship which would allow him to utilize and more often use his love of strategic warfare. He was assigned the commanding officer of the defiant class ship USS Stalwart that had been assigned to the Alamo Station 2384 ~ Alamo Station fell under attack by the Cardassians resulting in the loss of the Stalwart and the Alamo Station. 2385 ~ Reassigned to the USS Sunfire as XO. 2390 ~ Sunfire decommissioned 2391 ~ Mission Advisor to the USS Calypso |
