A couple of matters of business:
First, posting is going well. Most of you are participating in the away mission and the little problem on the ship.
If you're lost, here's a recap:
Away mission:
The away team has gone down to the planet (Tiberius IV) to check on the disappearance of the two ships (mining ship and Federation shuttle). As scans didn't work, they took a firefly. The sand is too soft to land on, consisting more of fine powder than anything. So, a pod was dropped on top of a cliff.
Meanwhile, the firefly has crashed. Sam and Trent (Marine NPC) are climbing over the side of the cliff to rescue them while a few Marines, the doctor and Chief Intel are going through the caves in the cliff to find an exit. They will need to blow a hole in the side of the cave to create an opening near where the firefly crashed.
The two climbers will get to the pilots and pull them to the rocks before the firefly sinks into the sand. They will be rescued by the crew in the cave.
On the Orion
The ship has been infested by ghezuns that got loose in the lounge. They have shorted out the power and eaten into the supplies. Security got most of them -- but until an internal scan is done, we won't know for sure if they're gone.
Adeyemon needs to go repair the lounge yet again and get the power back up. Security is tracking down the ghezuns. Science has identified them as a cross between a capybara and a vole.
Our new Counselor will have an irate lounge manager to calm and some rattled security officers. That is, until the away team returns. :)
Second, EVERYONE is in one or the other of these two groups. Most of you are actively adding to the JPs. The rest of you need to log in and tag. If you aren't sure where to tag in, just add something wherever it fits. We're informal around here. Tag farther up the post, or at the bottom, whatever works best. If you want to add to the chaos, let me know. I want everyone to have fun with this!
Once this mission is over, we will return to Starbase Typhon for repairs and R&R before getting our new mission. If you have ideas, please send them my way!
Finally, I am going to add a bit to the ship's rules. If a post is finished except for a tag by a person or two, I may wait a day or two for you to add to the post. Then I may simply remove the tag, and your name from the post, and post it to keep the story moving. I don't want to offend anyone by doing this, but I also don't want to have the story grind to a halt because we're waiting for someone to tag in. I'm not mad at you and I'll give you another chance to get involved as soon as possible. I just don't want you to get made at ME for doing this.
Once again, great job everyone! I'm really pleased with the progress the Orion has made in the last few weeks!
